Actor and BJP MP Kirron Kher has been diagnosed with blood cancer and is undergoing treatment in Mumbai, her husband Anupam Kher tweeted Thursday.
Kher’s colleague and BJP leader Arun Sood had told the press about her medical condition. But her family had maintained silence so far.
Knupam Kher wrote, “She is currently undergoing treatment and we are sure she will come out of this stronger than before.”
Kirron Kher joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and contested the 2014 general election from Chandigarh. She defeated former Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal of the Congress party. She again defeated him in 2019.
Earlier, Sood had disclosed that she was diagnosed with blood cancer in the PGI Chandigarh. She was admitted in the PGI for treatment of her fracture.
