In yet another violent incident by communist goons in Kerala, the Students’ Union President of NSS College in Cherthala was attacked by the SFI goons. J Anand(20), who is the President of the Students’ Union and ABVP leader was attacked with an iron rod.
J Anand went to the campus to take part in the farewell program organiser for the seniors. One ABVP activist Anu (18) was also injured in the attack.
A police complaint has been lodged against the SFI goons. The Alappuzha district committee has called for strong action against the hooligans involved in the attack.
SFI has a history of attacking opposition students’ organisations. In another incident that took place in the previous year at NSS College Vazhoor in Kottayam, the SFI goons had attacked ABVP workers with sharp weapons and machete. The attack left several ABVP workers injured and bleeding. They were rushed to the nearby hospital.
ABVP students were brutally beaten up by SFI goon in Kerala when they supported CAA. The organiser had reported on the incident where ABVP students who spoke in support of CAA were left bleeding after the brutal attack at Kerala Varma College a month ago.
