Life Imprisonment for Tausef and Rehan in Nikita Tomar Murder Case

A fast track court in Faridabad sentenced Tausef and Rehan to life imprisonment in the Nikita Tomar murder case.
Earlier they were held guilty for the murder of the young student.
 
Nikita, 21, was murdered in broad daylight on October 26 last year. A B. Com. final year student, she had just stepped out of her college after writing her exams when the duo intercepted her.
 
Tausef and Rehan first tried to abduct her in a car but when she resisted, Tausef fired at her.
 
He was harassing her for some time. Tausef is from an influential political family.
 
The incident was captured on a camera. The Haryana government had formed an SIT to investigate the murder.
The prosecution has demanded the death penalty. Nikita’s mother too wanted the death penalty for the killers of her daughter.
 
The trial had begun in December last year.
