Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Wednesday pledged to make Uttar Pradesh Tuberculosis free by 2025.
Shri Adityanath attended a programme in Sitapur on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day.
He appealed to people to participate in a mass drive to eradicate Tuberculosis.
He appealed to everyone to adopt a Tuberculosis patient each and ensure that the disease is defeated.
The treatment of Tuberculosis is free in the state. And each patient is entitled to INR 500 per month for the full course of the treatment. Monetary help is provided to ensure the patient gets nutritious diet.
The Chief Minister said earlier 38 districts of the state had patients of Encephalitis. After the campaign since 2017, the disease has been controlled by 75 per cent.
