The Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to establish Lord Ram University in Ayodhya soon.
Deputy chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Dr Dinesh Sharma said the university would carry out research in the field of religion and culture. The focus of the university will be the Hindu religion and the life of Lord Ram.
The government had already announced the construction of an airport in the city to boost religious tourism.
Many projects are in the pipeline to boost the infrastructure in and around Ayodhya.
A museum on the life of Lord Ram is already operational in the ancient town of Ayodhya.
Since the Supreme Court judgment has paved the way for the construction of the grand Ram temple in the city, the government has made many plans to develop Ayodhya as a global spiritual and cultural hub.
