Gaana’s employee Tanzila Anis who was caught while trying to whitewash the brutal murder of Bajrang Dal activist in Delhi is now fired from the company.  Announcing her termination, Gaana tweeted, “Gaana respects all religions and communities of India. With regards to the social media posts by a recently joined employee of Gaana, these posts do not represent our values. She is no longer employed by the company. We will continue to bring music to our country.”
Following the murder of Bajrang Dal activist Rinku Sharma by a Muslim Mob over an issue related to Ram Mandir donation, Tanzila Anis had tweeted, “Bajrang Dal activist. That’s it, that’s the tweet.” In a sense, she was making the point that the murder of Bajrang Dal activist was acceptable.
After facing backlash for her tweet, she offered an explanation for her bigotry. She said that she did not even know that a Bajrang Dal activist had been murdered and her tweet only alluded to the fact that members of the “extremist” organisation Bajrang Dal cannot be called an “activist”.
Many of her past tweets which have surfaced now, clearly show her Hinduphobic attitude and deep hatred for Hinduism. In one tweet she says, “I just saw this huge Shiva idol with legs spread wide. I want to stand under it. Who wants to join me in this #blasphemy.” In another shocking tweet she said, “Must outrage on why: 1) More men are chefs, 2) More women pornstars and 3) More Hindus in India”

Gaana had issued a statement on Tanzila Anis episode, stating, “We do not endorse the beliefs & views of our employees in their personal capacity. Gaana respects religious sentiments of every community in India. We have been apprised of the issue & will take necessary steps at the earliest based on our enquiries.” Netizens had demanded Gaana of terminating Anis for her bigotry.
