For his part, Mr Ashkenazi also wrote in the microblogging site and said, “The Indian FM assured me that the Indian authorities are committed to the security of all Israeli diplomatic staff and will continue to act resolutely to locate all those involved in the explosion.”
The Israeli Foreign Minister thanked Dr Jaishankar and promised full cooperation and any help required from Israel.
Meanwhile, sources said National Security Advisor Ajit Doval also spoke to his counterpart and during the conversation, it was conveyed that Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu had reposed full faith in Indian government under Narendra Modi for safety and security of Israeli officials and property in India.
Foreign Secretary Harsh V Shringla also spoke to Alon Ushpitz and a senior official in the MEA also spoke to Israeli envoy Ron Malka and assured about enhanced security for Israeli officials and embassy in India.
A low-intensity blast took place near the Israeli embassy on APJ Abdul Kalam Road in New Delhi on Friday. While three cars were damaged no one was injured, police said.
It may be mentioned here that an Israeli diplomat on her way to pick her children from school had sustained injuries following a bomb blast in 2012.
