Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat has inaugurated Kesari Weekly’s new Headquarters in Calicut, Kerala. The new headquarters will home Kesari Media studies and research centre and a digital library.
While addressing the gathering after inauguration, Dr Mohan Bhagwat congratulated Kesari for bringing nationalist ethos and fearlessly speaking the truth. The objective of `Kesari’ was to establish the way of `Dharma’, no matter if we achieved some victories, Dr Mohan Bhagwat said. “We need to adapt and adjust to many changes to the new ways in social, political and economic scenarios. World does not remember all successful people but only those who have been meaningfully successful. The objective of Kesari was to establish the way of `Dharma’, no matter if we achieved some victories. In spite of all odds, we should strive to achieve our goals to attain ‘sathy’ and ‘dharm’”, the Sarsanghchalak added.
Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat also released eight books published by Kurukshethra books and Kesari publications. A book on the history of political violence against RSS in Kerala was also released. The book titled “RSS in Kerala: Saga of a Struggle’, on the martyr’s of the RSS and BJP, authored by Dr A K M Das and compiled jointly by Dr A K M Das, V M Gopinath and Shabu Prasad.
The book “RSS in Kerala” goes in detail about the problems faced by RSS in Kerala. Its workers were tortured by the hooligans of CPM with the support of state machinery. In the book’s introduction, the national coordinator of Prajna Pravah, Shri J Nandakumar writes “The tiny area of Kannur district has accounted for a disproportionately large number of causalities. The number of injured is almost six times as much as the number of those who were murdered. In addition to this, torture in police custody, foisting fake cases, etc. are quite common, especially when LDF, led by the CPI (M), comes to power.” The book consists of details of all swayamsevaks murdered in Kerala.
“Kerala, especially Kannur district, has been the hotbed of violence, bloodshed and political killings, committed by the Communist Party of India (Marxist). The first ever political murder committed by the party in Kerala after India’s independence was that of 36-year-old Vadikkal Ramakrishnan, a tailor by profession and the sole breadwinner of his poor family, at Thalassery on April 28, 1969. Since then, up to now, they have killed more or less 300 workers of the RSS or other Hindutva organisations in Kerala. What prompts the party to take to such wanton killings and blood-letting?”, wrote Prof AKM Das in the Author’s note.
The Organising Committee President P R Nathan, O Rajagopal, MLA, Swami Chidananthapuri, Swami Narasinhananda Saraswathi, and the Chinmaya Mission regional head Swami Tejomayananda were among those who felicitated at the function.
