 A Muslim man pretended to be a Hindu on social media and tricked a Hindu girl into marrying him. He was arrested from Kannauj on Saturday. The Muslim man has been identified as Taufeeq Kahn who pretended to be Rahul Verma. As per the report, Mohammad Taufeeq Khan hid his religious identity and got married to a Hindu girl according to Hindu customs. He is identified as Rahul Verma. A Muslim man pretended to be a Hindu on social media, tricked a Hindu girl into marrying him. He was arrested from Kannauj on Saturday.
 
The Muslim man has been identified as Taufeeq Kahn who pretended to be Rahul Verma.
 
As per the report, Mohammad Taufeeq Khan hid his religious identity and got married to a Hindu girl according to Hindu customs.
 
He is identified as Rahul Verma. His real identity was exposed when the girls’ brother posted the wedding photo on Facebook.
 
Taufeeq man has been booked under theUnlawful Religious Conversion Ordinance, 2020 and Section 419 (fraud), 420 (cheating) 496 (Marriage ceremony was fraudulently gone through without lawful marriage) and 295 A (Deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings) of Indian Penal Code.
 
 The girls’ brother said that their whole family went to Lucknow for his sister’s marriage on December 10. They married according to Hindu customs.
 
When he posted some photographs of the Marriage ceremony on Facebook, a few people commented that the boy is a Muslim. When he tried to find more information, he got to know that his name is not Rahul Verma but Mohammad Taufeeq Khan, who resides in Kheddevar village, Gursahaiganj.
 
The girl’s father approached the Gursahaiganj Kotwali police and lodged a complaint against the accused Taufeeq Khan.
 
The Police has arrested the accused Taufeeq and provided security to the girl. Taufeeq was taken to court to record his statement amid tight security.
 
It is to be noted that not even a single family member of Taufeeq Khan attended the marriage.
