‘Minorities’ appeased by TN governments even in compensations and religious festivities, while Hindus continue to be discriminated

The TN government gave Rs 5 lakhs to a TV journalist John Kennedy who died of Corona. The family of 2-yr old Sujith, who fell into an uncovered abandoned borewell, was given an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 1 crore and a state government job. The belonged to the Christian community. The family of Sathankulam father and son duo, again Christian, who died in judicial custody were given 25 lakhs each and a government job. The AIADMK had also given 20 lakhs each.

However, the soldier Thirumurthi who was killed in action at the borderserving the country was given a compensation of only Rs. 1 lakh by the TN government.
