NIA investigation using the accused’s mobile phone calls show that four visits were made by her to Cliff House, the Kerala CM’s official residence during June 2020 alone.

NIA has reportedly started to inquire into the visits of infamous accused gold smuggler Swapna Supresh to Cliff House, the official residence of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Malayalam TV Channel Janam aired their findings that the details of her mobile phone calls clearly prove that Swapna made four visits to Cliff House (official CM residence) during June 2020 alone. The visits have been ascertained by determining the tower locations of Swapna’s phone based on the call list. CMO is already being inquired into with respect to the unholy nexus between CM’s former Principal Secretary M. Sivasankar and Swapna & Co. Now, the scanner extends to CM’s residence.

Since the last one month, from the very moment the gold smuggling episode broke out, CM Pinarayi has been stating that he did not know Swapna and nothing to do with her. It was despite the fact that she was working for the IT department attached to the CMO. His futile attempt was to establish that she was Sivashankar’s associate. He might have enjoyed a euphoria after suspending Sivasankar, that is, once Sivasnakar is got rid of, Swapna is off too !!! But, now it goes on like a Pandora’s Box.

BJP spokesman Sandeep Warrier said that now it is once again proved that CMO is the epicentre of the gold smuggling, etc. So, the CM should resign and face the inquiry. BJP leader V.V. Rajesh commented that Swapna’s job in the UAE consulate had been terminated in 2018 hence she had no privilege of a diplomatic mission representative in June 2020. It looks like Rajesh pulls the legs of Assembly Speaker Sreeramakrishnan’s earlier statement that he had considered her as a ‘diplomat’ hence he knew her.

Noted political observer and CPI member Adv. A. Jayasankar said that it is not easy for an ordinary citizen to enter Pinarayi’s official residence as he is not a friendly politician, for ordinary people, as former CM and Congress leader Oomen Chandy is.

Congress leader P.T. Thomas MLA said that he was aware of these visits. He demanded immediate resignation of the CM.

Now, CM will find it tough to tell the people that he did not have any truck with Swapna. He will have to tell the people why Swapna visited Cliff House, whom did she meet there and what had transpired during the meeting.
