Time to Stand-Up against Commie-dians

Indian stand-up comedy has been almost completely gobbled up by the gobbledygook of the incestuous, inbreeding and India-hating nexus of Communists and Urban Naxals. It is hard to find a stand-up comedian who doesn’t hate India because their default program mandates them to hate, deride and abuse India, Hindutva and Hindus

At least seven stand-up comedians have either deactivated their Twitter accounts or protected it after netizens began digging up their old tweets and videos in which they were “mocking” Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Some of these comedians even posted ‘apology’ videos as Twitterati began trending #HinduphobicComedyIndustry

India is a strange country where dynastic rulers come from Italy and voters from Bangladesh. The politicians are acting and actors are playing politics. Bollywood scriptwriters are teaching Economy and Economists are writing fiction. The Opposition leader is doing standup comedy and standup comedians are playing opposition leaders. Totally jumbled for comprehension of ordinary folks.

Like most fields connected to arts and humanities, Indian standup comedy field has been almost completely gobbled up by the gobbledygook of the incestuous, inbreeding and India hating nexus of Communists and Urban Naxals. It is hard to find a standup comedian who doesn’t hate India because their default program mandates them to hate, deride and abuse India, Hindutva and Hindus. A nationalist comedian would find it tough to find a stage or sponsors simply because the Leftist Ecosystem would nip such tendencies in the bud.

Standup comedy in India is turning out to be all about “not standing up for National Anthem”. It is about abusing anything or everything about Hindu beliefs, icons and Gods. Latest trends suggest it is a season of Tweeted apologies. These apologies are turning out to be funnier than their comedies. At least three young comedians, including a lady, played with fire insulting Chhatrapati Shivaji, Veer Savarkar and Lord Ganesh among other Hindu icons. When faced with backlash, they have Tweeted what looked like “copy-paste” apologies, tagging Maharashtra CMO, Aditya Thackeray, NCP leaders and Raj Thackeray. This is what we call apologies of comedians issuing apologies!

Apologies remind us of the AIB Roast. After cracking a low brow joke about Christian Clergy, they kneeled down to apologise to the Christian community. Not a single standup comedian in India has apologised to the Muslim community though. They never get that far with their comedy. Though they never talked about it, they all understand what happened to Kamlesh Tiwari.

It isn’t just the greenhorn comedians. Even seasoned, senior comedians have become jokes themselves. They spew their pathetic vitriol about lack of freedom of expression under Fascist Sangh Pariwar rule by abusing PM Modi. Astonishingly, they manage to draw some real low intellect audience that applauds these jokes, without even realising the paradox.

Standup comedy originated in the West between the 19th century and 20th century. They mostly began as stop-gap shows in music halls. There are different types of standup comedy like observational comedy, blue comedy, dark comedy, clean comedy and alternative standup comedy. But unfortunately, most standup comedies in India have been cringeworthy.

Comedy in India wasn’t always pathetic and cringeworthy. We always had highly acclaimed, respected and scholarly comedians. Tenali Ramakrishna, known as Vikata Kavi was the most celebrated name among comedians. Tenali Rama didn’t become famous by lampooning the King. He didn’t spare the King from his barbs but he didn’t live a life dedicated to abusing the King. Most standup comedians of this era have devoted their existence to abusing PM Modi in the name of freedom of expression.

Ghastly creatures like paedophiles and molesters have found honour among the so-called modern-day Indian standup comedians. Their self-obsessed gangs defended open declaration of their preference for paedophilia on Twitter. As is a practice with all the Leftists, the standup comedians too are obsessed with freedom of expression that is always one-way traffic. They guard their rights to criticise and even abuse anyone but begin to cry foul the moment they are given a taste of their own medicine. If someone dares to question or criticise these standup comedians on social media, they become BJP IT Cell or paid trolls or hate brigade of RSS and Modi becomes Fascist.

Things get more curious when none of the standup comedians utter or Tweet one word about Maharashtra Home Ministry demanding ban on release of the Iranian movie on Prophet Muhammad on digital platforms in India. The demand sparked off by the notorious Raza Academy has invoked “Zero reactions” from the entire spectrum of Leftist cabal. They have stuck to the same silence they maintained when AR Rahman show was called-off after protests from Islamist groups.

Secularism followed by “secular fundamentalist ecosystem” in India is very simple. You can criticise, lampoon and abuse anything about Hindu beliefs, but you cannot touch the minorities. Religious sentiments of the minorities, especially the Muslims, should be treated above everything, including the Constitution of India. When the comedians offer apologies for insulting Hindu beliefs, they aren’t apologising to Hindus but people running the Maharashtra Government. Let that sink in, the tragedy of the comedians.

Leftists are experts at branding opponents. They’ve coined terms like Internet Hindus, Sanghi morons, Andh Bhakts and many such insults directed at people supporting BJP. Any independent citizen of India questioning their incessant and illogical rants against Modi has to be “IT Cell”. According to their logic, at least 40 per cent of Indian voters must be working for the BJP IT Cell.

Keeping aside the numerical strength of actual voters, the self-proclaimed “Intelligentsia” or the “Liberals” have an overwhelming majority when it comes to fields like entertainment industry that includes standup comedy. The branding game was mostly a one-way abuse game until the awakened “Internet Hindus” began giving it back. Thus the Leftists became Commies. Looking at the comedy scenario, they can easily be branded as “Standup Commiedians”.
