Maharashtra Govt has detained people for protesting against China in Mumbai today. Common people of Mumbai and Karyakartas of ABVP were protesting against the brutal killing of Indian Army soldiers outside the Chinese Consulate in Mumbai. However, the protestors were detained by the Mumbai Police.

Uddhav Thackeray led MVA govt had just a day ago signed MoU worth Rs. 5,000 crore with Chinese companies. Maharashtra government had signed MoUs with Hengli Engineering, PMI Electro Mobility Solutions and Great Wall Motors to invest in Talegaon in Pune district. The MoUs were signed even as Indian Army was in a stand-off with the expansionist Chinese Army who were trying occupy Galwan valley in Ladakh.

ABVP has condemned the detainment of the protestors and asked if raising your voice when China is killing our soldiers is a crime in Maharashtra. ‬

Shiv Sena is in an alliance with Congress and NCP in Maharashtra. Congress truck with China is no hidden fact and this is being quoted as the reason for the MoU despite China killing our soldiers. The Congress had signed an MoU with the Communist Party of China in 2008  to “promote exchanges at various levels”. Rahul Gandhi had signed the MoU with Wang Jia Rui, Minister in the international department of the CPC in the presence of Sonia Gandhi and then Chinese Vice-President Xi Jinping.
