Mohammed Hashim _1 &
Mohammed Hashim (in red circle) has been sentenced by the Supreme Court attends Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter’s wedding

CPM supremo and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan proved his ‘anarchist and fascist credentials’ once again by including a political murderer and convict among the ‘limited’ guests in the wedding ceremony of his daughter Veena Vijayan. The ‘super guest’ of the CM is Mohammed Hashim who has been sentenced by the country’s highest court of justice for 7 years. Now, he is on parole.

Mohammed Hashim is the first accused in the murder of RSS swayamsevak Ottappilavu Suresh Babu of Thrissur district. He attended the wedding ceremony at Cliff House, the official residence of the CM, in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram. The incident is described as a security lapse in the CM’s residence. As soon as the wedding picture appeared in the media BJP spokesman Sandeep G. Warrier identified the accused and posted it on Facebook.

When the murder convict’s presence turned controversial, Mohammed Hashim came out with justification that he was attending his close relative’s wedding and it was very much permissible within the parole protocols. He claimed that the groom is his father’s brother!

Interestingly, the number of invitees was confined to 50, including state ministers, as per the Corona protocol. It is now a mystery as to how a murder convict crept into such a list. The CM’s security apparatus is yet to answer.

Veena is married to DYFI (youth wing of CPM) national president Mohammed Riyas, a known blue eyed of CM Pinarayi. Both bride and groom are divorcees. Allegations have already been highlighted by the media that CM, bride, groom and several others did not wear mask nor they observed physical distancing during the ceremony.

Veena Vijayan, an IT entrepreneur is herself in the eye of a storm in connection with the state government’s recent contract with a controversial US firm for collecting the data pertaining to the COVID-19 patients in the state. The contract was cancelled, thanks to the stiff resistence from BJP and Opposition UDF.
