During this Pandemic, the Government of India along with State Governments declared nationwide lockdown to prevent community spread of the coronavirus. So, the common people are struggling for their daily food management along with other activities. Especially poor people including daily wage labourers and small shopkeepers are facing problems. In this situation, they need assistance to manage their daily needs. So, the Sewa Bharati Purbanchal has come forward to distribute relief materials along with other preventive measures in the lockdown crisis.
The Sewa Bharati, along with its resources, members, volunteers and associate organisations, distributed eating materials and goods for sanitization at several places covering various districts of Assam. Sewa Bharati Purbanchal is also getting relevant support from the local administration, which helped in the delivery of the relief smoothly. The members and volunteers collected food items and prepared packets of rice, daal, salt, oil, vegetable, soap, sanitizer, face mask, etc. With these packets, the workers reached the targeted families to provide food packets. At some places, volunteers worked to sanitise public places and houses and also worked to maintain social distancing.
