In a press statement issued by the VHP on behalf of Shri Alok Kumar, Working President of the VHP, the Vishva Hindu Parishad has called upon all capable citizens to ensure that every person in their locality, village, town and cities, gets meals two times a day for themselves & their families.
Shri Alok Kumar said that due to the lock-down, hand-to-mouth people such as daily wage earners, labourers, street hawkers, rickshaw pullers, porters, etc., are likely to get caught in great difficulty. Therefore, in this time of struggle, it is the responsibility of all capable citizens of the country to ensure that no one bound to sleep with an empty stomach, he said.
Terming it a sacred work, the VHP has requested help of religious institutions such as Mathas (monasteries), Temples, Gurudwaras, Jain Sthanaks, Baudha Viharas, etc., resident welfare associations (RWAs), trade associations, Panchayat committees, etc., in this endeavor.
The VHP has also urged that all its workers take along people, from all walks of life, in accomplishing this virtuous task, while following the health care and other norms of the administration. It also reminds that the VHP workers must ensure that their work should be helpful to the administration and not a hindrance.

The whole of Bharat is waging a war against Corona virus (COVID-19). The entire country as one made the ‘Janata Curfew’ (‘People’s Curfew’) a success. The way the entire country expressed its gratitude to the medical fraternity and the other essential services providers by clapping and also playing plates, bells, conches, etc., at 5 pm yesterday, it quite demonstrated its anti-corona war resolution. Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) Working President Advocate Alok Kumar today said that this national resolution transcended all caste-creed-community-religion considerations, is unique and a matter of welcome. Such resolutions are helpful in facing all challenges to the nation. We are confident that in the face of this strong national resolve, the Corona pandemic wouldn’t survive. We now also have to ensure that in this time of crisis, no citizen of the country goes to sleep without food.
