New Delhi: Third Chitra Bharati film festival will be held in Ahmedabad from February 21 to 23. Noted film director and producer Shri Subhash Ghai along with the secretary of Bharatiya Chitra Sadhna and chairman of Reception Committee Shri Ajit Bhai released the poster of the festival on July 29. They also launched the website of the festival.
Applauding the efforts of Bharatiya Chitra Sadhna Shri Ghai said we are today copying the West whereas there are thousands of Indian stories which can be explored. He stressed the need that the stories related to Bharat and Bharatiya culture should be taken to the common man in an interesting manner. He assured every possible help to the Chitra Sadhna to promote the Bharat-centric view of the cinema.

First Chitra Bharati Film Festival was held in Indore from February 26 to 28, 2016 and the second was held in Delhi from February 19 to 21, 2018. Those who are interested to join the festival have to first register on Chitra Bharati Film Festival 2020 website (www.bcs-cbff.org) after paying the requisite fee. There are four categories for the films—short duration (30 minutes or less), documentary films (45 minutes or less), animation films (5 minutes or less) and campus films in two groups—Film Institutes & Professional Students and Amateur students (20 minutes or less).

The themes for this year’s festival are: Bharatiya culture & values, constructive work, Bharatiya family, social harmony, folk arts, water-trees-cleanliness, women, national security, valour, nationhood and man-making education for nation-building.
