Jaipur: In yet another case of love jihad being reported in Rajasthan, a case has been registered in Sikar against one Imran Bhati who married a Hindu girl introducing himself as Kabeer Sharma while hiding the fact that he is married and is a father of three kids.
Imran posed as Brahmin!
Bhati trapped a Brahmin girl by introducing himself as an unmarried Brahmin, proposed her and later married her in presence of his fake parents, and fake relatives who too introduced themselves as Brahmins in their wedding. The distressed father had got a case registered in a police station on May 25.
Their marriage was solemnised on May 13 in Jaipur. Before marriage, an engagement ceremony was organised in Jaipur where youth brought fake relatives who had tilaks on their foreheads. “They also revealed their Gotras and when I was fully satisfied I fixed their marriage on May 13, said the girl’s father. The groom’s family called us in Jaipur in one of the resorts and marriage was solemnised with Hindu rituals as we paid entire expenses for resort and food. After few days of marriage, Imran sent my daughter back to Sikar demanding Rs five lakh from me. Under immense pressure from him, I borrowed Rs 2.5 lakh from his friend and my daughter went missing on May 17. Even the gold kept in my home and cash was missing,” said the father.
Lost both daughter and valuables
The father then went to Jaipur with the wedding picture of his daughter and was stunned to find the reality. He was informed that the youth was not Kabeer Sharma but Imran Bhati who was married and has three kids. He was informed that Imran once worked in a Motor company. He revealed the entire episode to police officials on May 25 who too were shocked to listen to his plight.
SP Amandeep Singh Kapoor said that a case has been registered and police have formed a special team to trace missing man and woman. However, no clue has been received till date, he added. The girls father said that he had only one daughter and hence he gave a huge dowry to her which included Rs 11 lakh cash, jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh and expensive dresses too.
Surprisingly, even after five days of the registration of the case, police are still to trace Imran, and his family which he introduced to girls family. Police officials said that the entire plot was sketched quite smartly. Even videographers and photographers were chosen by them to dupe the family. However, the girls’ family had a few pictures clicked on their mobiles in which it is clearly seen that marriage was solemnised with Hindu rituals.
