Arrest Islamic Terror
Apropos (Jamaat-e-Terrorists), Organiser, May 5, 2019, the editorial rightly argues that the gangs of Islamic terrorists do not consist of senseless, directionless, poverty-stricken and uneducated youth but they are well educated and well-to-do individuals, inspired by religious fundamentalists who essentially believes in converting the entire world into Islam. These terrorists are also highly tech-savvy and are working under a well-defined modus operandi following sophisticated patterns. If we continue to ignore these facts, we will face more deadlier attacks than that which happened in Sri Lanka on April 21. Islamic terrorism is a global menace that should be dealt with collectively at the global level.

BJP & Core Issues
Apropos (‘On National Interest and Ideological Politics, We are Firm like a Rock’), Organiser, May 5, 2019, it was nice to read the interview of BJP national president Amit Shah. It is good to see BJP seeking support again on the basis of the solid work done by its government led by PM Modi. Development is surely visible in the country and Shri Modi has also instilled the sense of pride in the countrymen, but the ideological issues are also important and the BJP should not deviate from them, as no other party will get the countrymen rid of the wrong decisions taken in the past like Article 370, etc. Declining tickets to 22 leaders above the age of 75 years is a good decision, as it will help the BJP to build new leadership for future.

Serial Liar
APROPOS (Certified Liar?), Organiser, May 5, 2019, it seems Congress president Rahul Gandhi is trying to fool the entire country by making baseless allegations. It is evident from the apology tendered by him to the Supreme Court in Rafale case. The way he is hiding crucial information about the cases against him in the election affidavits both in Amethi and Wayanad, it shows he is befooling his voters too in his constituencies. Bad days for the Congress! Nothing constructive can be expected from the person who is cheating the countrymen and his voters even before the elections. The Election Commission should ban such cheaters to contest elections.

US Companies Shifting to India
It refers to about 200 American companies shifting their manufacturing-units from China to India. On July 9, 2018, Indian PM and South Korea President had jointly inaugurated the world’s largest manufacturing unit of Samsung in Noida (India) with the capacity to produce 120 million mobile-phones in tune with ‘Make in India’ concept. Earlier, in 2015, leading aircraft-manufacturer Airbus Industry (France) announced investing $ two-billion in India to manufacture aircraft parts. India is the largest consumer base after China and can devise ways so that global manufacturing giants may be forced to set up manufacturing units in India if they desire their brand-names being marketed in India. India is definitely in a situation to impose its terms on such imports. The Indian government should link import of largely used items with condition that brand-owning company may set up production unit in India itself at least in cases where manufactured items are not being directly imported from the country where the brand-owning company exists.

No to Political Bitterness :-

It refers to PM Modi interview with film-star Akshay Kumar in which Shri Modi had full praise for West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee for personal cordial relations between them to the extent that she regularly sends Bengali kurtas and sweets to him. Though, the political bitterness between the two is evident from their election speeches, unfortunately, public-exhibition of political bitterness creates personal bitterness between supporters and cadres of politically rival politicians. Time has come to induce a touch of cordiality in poll-campaigns and Parliament between political rivals. There was an era when leaders like Piloo Modi used to sprinkle humour to cool down bitterness if created in Parliament. The then PM Lal Bahadur Shastri sent a set of dhoti-kurta to veteran Parliamentarian Prakash Vir Shastri as symbolic advice for sticking to national attire while on his foreign trip abroad. Atal Behari Vajpayee whole-heartedly complimented the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for her leading the nation to a great victory in 1971 Indo-Pak war.
