Senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan is once again in the news and again for the wrong reasons.
In a video that went viral on social media recently, Azam Khan is seen as appealing to his followers to not be scared of district collectors. Azam Khan, who is also a close associate of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and is widely regarded as the Muslim face of SP.
While speaking in an insulting tone, Khan said that one should never be afraid of the (Tankhaiye) salaried class and recounted how his present ally BSP Supremo Mayawati used to get top bureaucrats to clean her shoes. Later, Khan added that if Allah is willing, he would also get the bureaucrats to clean shoes when he comes back to power.
The video comes just a day after Khan was caught making a derogatory comment against his rival and the BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur constituency, Jaya Prada where Khan said that Jayapradha wears “Khaki underpants”. Surprisingly this statement was made by him in the presence of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
While commenting on BJP face in Rampur Jaya Prada, Azam said, “I brought her to Rampur. You are a witness that I did not allow anyone to touch her body. It took you 17 years to identify her real face but I got to know in 17 days that she wears khaki underpants”.
Azam Khan has long been accused of running a smear campaign against Jaya Prada.
Earlier also Azam Khan wrecked up controversies by allegedly communalising elections, insulting Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and making derogatory remarks against the Armed Forces.
