Islamist professor insults BJP candidate in Malappuram

Bharatiya Mahila Morcha Kerala state president Prof. V.T. Rema, BJP candidate in Kerala’s Ponnani LS constituency, was subjected to insult by Assistant Prof. N.V. Mohammed Rafi of Malayalam University in Tirur, Malappuram district on March 27. The incident occurred when Prof. Rema visited the university for canvassing votes in her favour. When she stepped into the library, Rafi shouted in an aggressive posture. He roared: ” Ths is not Gujarat, get out from here, I hate you … you people massacred Muslims in Gujarat. You bloody get out …….”. Then VC Anil Vallathol and his colleagues rushed in and eased the situation. All witnesses were shocked to see it.

Prof. V.T. Rema reacted that she taught in different colleges for 30 years, but she never behaved liked this nor has seen anyone behaving like this. She wondered what would be the conditions of the students if a teacher is this much uncivilized. Rema and BJP leaders have submitted their complaint before the varsity authorities and the police. Varsity has asked Rafi to submit his explanation within a couple of days.
 
This weekly understands that Rafi belongs to an extreme left group and his FB posts reportedly always support Islamic extremists.
 
Mahila Morcha leaders have aired their strong protests against Rafi.
