After the mega Dharam Sabhas in Ayodhya and Nagpur for reconstruction of Sri Ram Temple on November 25, the grand meetings in Mumbai and Bengaluru on December 2 and the large scale preparations for December 9 rally in Delhi show that the Rambhaktas are ready for the final battle for the reconstruction of Ram Mandir
T he gathering of lakhs of Rambhaktas at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai and at National College Grounds in Bengaluru on December 2 shows that the Hindus this time are ready for the final battle for Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya. The gathering plainly said the court is delaying the matter, hence the government should introduce a bill for the temple in winter session of the Parliament.

Addressing the gathering in Mumbai RSS Sahsarkaryavah Shri Dattatreya Hosabale said the Allahabad High Court decision has made it clear that there was a temple where the disputed structure existed in Ayodhya. Despite that the land was not provided to the Hindus for building the temple. He said Lord Vishnu during His Vamanavatar mapped the entire earth in three steps, now the Hindus not getting land for the temple of the next incarnation of Vishnu is really disappointing. Shri Hosabale said there are sufficient evidences of temple in Ayodhya, hence the government by filing its affidavit in the apex court should hand over the land for the temple. He said if the matter is not in the priority list of the court, the government should pave the way for reconstruction of the temple.

Huge gathering of Rambhaktas at Bandra Kurli Complex in Mumbai on December 2, 2018. Inset: Shri Dattatreya Hosabale speaking

Swami Narendracharya Maharaj said the temple is the matter of Hindu identity and we are ready for sacrificing our lives for the temple. Shri Govinddev Giri Maharaj said Ram is the DNA of this country, He is identity of the Hindutva and top most ideal of humanity. Ram temple is necessary for restoring these ideals. Shri Naypadmasagar Maharaj said no power can stop the reconstruction of temple. VHP joint general secretary Dr Surendra Jain reminded the Muslims that not Babar, Ghazani and Akbar but Shri Ram was their ancestor. Hence, they should help in reconstruction of the temple.

Rambhaktas at the Janagraha Sabha in Bengaluru on December 2, 2018

Janagrah Sabah in Bengaluru
The Rambhaktas from various places of Bengaluru and outskirts of the city arrived at National College Grounds through processions, rallies and street plays. Folk artists dressed as Sri Ram, Lakshman and Sita were the cynosure at the event. A life size statue of Sri Ram near the dais drew attention and interest of the people at the venue. The public meeting, named as Janagraha Sabaha was organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. The saints who joined the Sabha unequivocally condemned the court for not giving priority to the case and said though they continue to respect the court, the delay meted out is unacceptable.
The saints unequivocally condemned the court for not giving priority to the temple case. They said they continue to respect the court but the delay is unacceptable VHP general secretary Shri Milind Parande said it is for hundreds of years now that due to Babar, the barbaric foreign invader, and the mindset that endorses him, which has resulted in the issue of Ram temple is still alive. He termed it as shocking and appalling when the court hearing for Shri Ram Janmabhoomi case recently heard the case a mere 3 minutes and adjourned it saying that the court had higher priorities than this. “When thousands of people have laid down their lives for the Mandir and being oldest of the cases, such attitude of the court is humiliation of the whole Hindu society. The Babri Masjid was a reminder to the barbaric invader’s assault on this nation. Today the Masjid ceases to exist, but a grand Mandir will be built very soon, he said.

Senior saints at the Janagraha Sabha in Bengaluru

President of VHP Karnataka Dr Vijayalaxmi Deshamane said the Ram Rajya has been coined and it explains justice to all. ‘Rama Japa’ is a therapy to Hindus. Though we had such conducive environment all around, and Rambhaktas are in plenty, Sri Ram Temple reconstruction has been delayed due to wrong intentions.

Sri Soumyanandanatha Swamji of Adichunchanagiri Mutt also expressed pain wherein enough efforts towards Shri Ram Mandir to worship Sri Ram who has been not just idol but an ideal to all Bharatiyas has been put and we should not end up only with efforts alone but organise ourselves and execute it as soon as possible. Senior VHP leader Shri Basavaraj appealed to the Rambhaktas that starting from December 18, which happens to be Gita Jayanti, Sri Ram Japa should be done personally and publicly praying for reconstruction of the temple soon till December 25.

Shri Mukunda CR addressing the Janagraha Sabha in Bengaluru

RSS Sahsarkaryavah Sri Mukunda CR said the children of the country have been hearing the stories of Sri Ram and it is a sad situation that urging for temple to worship him has seen so many obstacles. Since 1949, Ram Mandir has never been the priority of the courts, he said. The court has taken up and closed cases which were of least social and cultural importance. He reminded how the court opened in the midnight to hear the mercy plea of Yakub Memon, a terrorist. It is only the Hindu society which has always been abiding by law of the land and Constitution, but the same court has humiliated all of us by not considering Ram temple plea as a priority. The court gives time to cases which belittle the Hindu traditional practices of Sabarimala and gives a verdict which again hurts Hindus. This is the sole reason for such public referendums, he said.

“To all those who believe that the upcoming elections are the reason for such Janagrahas, they are wrong. We are not getting into politics to build the temple but it is an age old request which has been there and we have come to a juncture where we have to pressurise the governments for an ordinance to make it happen. Elections come and go and that does not have to do anything with Ram temple”, he added. The right word for ordinance in Kannada is ‘Sugrivajne’. It is analogous to Sugriva from Ramayana who ordered his troupe to help Sri Ram succeed in his quest for rescuing Sita. It is another ‘Sugrivajne’ which we demand from the elected representatives for reconstruction of the Ram temple, he added.

Mahamandaleshwara Swami Akhileshwarananda Giri said though unacceptable, the partition and division of the country has happened and we have accepted it, but we shall not be accepting the decision of the division of Ram Janmabhoomi at any cost where in the archaeological evidence is totally in our favour. He said the whole land should belong to the Hindus and Babar, an invader, and his masjid cannot be there. He also said how the appeasement has hurt this country and the policies of appeasement have been against Hindus. He said such meetings are not against the Supreme Court but against the delay meted out and the disinterest displayed by the courts in the case. He said how for over 400 years fights have happened for the sake of building a Mandir at the place where Sri Ram was born, lived and ruled. Many great people have guided us over the Rama Mandir and it is now our younger generation who has to make it happen so that it becomes a gift to our future generation.

Pejawar Swami Shri Vishvesha Teertha called upon the people of all ways of worship to unequivocally demand for Sri Ram Mandir. He said as in Ramayana where curse to Ahalya was relieved by the touch of Sri Ram, we in Bharat have had the curse of not having the Mandir and now the same will be eliminated. Sri Siddananda Avadhuta ji of Bagepalli, Sri Sri Sadhwi Yoginimata, Sri Vidya Mahasamsthanam, Sri Sri Krishna Mohanaanandagiri Goswami Maharaj of Tripura Bhairavi Matha of Mysuru, Sri Sri Vidya Vachaspati Vishwasantosh Vharati Sripada, Sri Abhaya Chaitanya Maharaja, Ramakrishna Ashram, Malleshwaram, Sri Sri Sachchidananda Swamiji, Sivananda Ashram, Rrishikesh, Sri Sri Madhavanandagiri Swamiji, Himachal Pradesh, Sri Ganesha Swarupananda Giri Swamiji, Shankar mutt, Srirangapatna, Sri Ramanananda Swamiji, Sivanandashram, Nelamangala and Sri Chandrashekaranandji, Sri Ramakrishna Seva Trust, Devasandra, also shared the dais.
