Gonikoppalu: “Attaining Param Vaibhav has been the motto of the Sangh and it is being achieved by the noble task of man making,” said RSS Sahsarkaryavah Shri Mukunda CR in his address to a large gathering of swayamsevaks at Virajapete’s RSS Taluk Sanghik organised at Field Marshall KM Cariappa Grounds at Hatur Village.
Shri Mukunda CR addressing the swayamsevaks
Shri Mukunda exhorted the swayamsevaks to expand Sangh work in villages where it has yet to reach so that Sangh service reaches to the last person. “There was a time when Hindus were termed as disorganised and a divided society. However through the work of the RSS for the last nine decades, the Hindus have formed and also established an organised society thereby setting an example to the entire world. The world today knows how Sangh has become the world’s largest voluntary service-based organisation with over 1.7 Lakh sewa projects being pursued,” he said.
About the challenges the Hindu society faces and the role of the Sangh, Shri Mukunda said: “Sangh has fought against many attacks on the temples of worship of the Hindus, against cow slaughter whenever the need arose. It was Sangh founded by Doctor Ji which was behind the construction of Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari or even ending the row in Kashmir by impressing the State Government to sanction the required land to the Amarnath Shrine Board to set up facilities for the Hindu pilgrims. Likewise, the work of the Sangh has to reach all the villages of Bharat and by the work of Sangh we are only doing service to the country.”
Thousands of swayamsevaks in ganvesh participated in the Sanghik and demonstrated yogabhyas, drills and march past. Karnataka Dakshin Prant Sahasanghachalak Dr Vaman Shenoy, Mangaluru Vibhag Sanghachalak Sri Gopal Chettiyara and Kodagu Zilla Sanghachalak Sri Chakkera Manu Kaverappa were also present.
