ABVP stands wtih students in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a state level dharna on September 11 in front of the State Assembly against the apathetic attitude of the state government towards education. More than 25,000 students participated in the rally. Students from all 30 districts of the state participated in the rally. Students from all across the state came to the capital. The ABVP workers started two impressive rallies from Exhibition Ground and Shahid Nagar Durga Puja Ground to Lower PMG Chowk, where the massive meeting was held.

Addressing the students, ABVP national general secretary Shri Ashish Chauhan said the entire higher education system in the state has collapsed, teachers and students are the worse sufferers. Thousands of teachers’ posts are lying vacant. Basic infrastructure is not there in many Colleges and Universities. The Government is doing nothing in this regard. “The Education system in the state has been paralysed due to the apathetic attitude of Naveen Patnaik Government. Thousands of students from all parts of Odisha have come here to wake him up from Kumbhkarna Nidra,” he added.
ABVP’s national secretary Avilash Panda, university Pramukh Shri Hari Borikar also addressed the rally. Zonal organising secretary Govind Nayak, State general secretary Priyanka Priyadarshini Malik, state organising secretary Tanmay Dash and others were also present.
