The letter is in reference with the editorial and cover story published in the issue dated March 11, 2018. The issue gave extensive coverage to Rashtroday 2018, the biggest ever congregation of Swayamsevaks. Being a regular reader of Organiser and a swayamsevak from Tamil Nadu, of course the mammoth event, as a show of strength, was a proud moment for me. However, the message of Poojaniya Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat gave more clarity in his address, saying that the discipline of over two lakh Swayamsevaks is the real test of our strength. The editorial rightly observed that the event imparted a training not only to the swayamsevaks who were present there but to the entire society. The other stories regarding the contribution of society to the programme through various means clearly indicate the growing acceptance and influence of Sangh cutting across all sections of society. I hope that people of Tamil Nadu, taking the inspiration from such programmes also work for larger integration and national reconstruction process.

Start up India, Stand up India
Apropos “Enable the Innovators” published in Organiser, dated March 4, 2018, I would like to congratulate Sandeep Singh and other writers. The report by Ajay Mittal “Enhancing Medicinal values story about Mrs Chhavi Rastogi was truly inspiring. I congratulate her as she has done a great job in promoting Ayurvedic based drugs, especially for immunity. I would also like to add that Dr Margret Chan Director General of WHO has recently highlighted that antibiotic resistance is a key concern in modern medicines. Bacteria survive and continue to multiply causing more harm. The dearth of effective and proficient antibiotics could also make surgical procedures and some cancer treatments difficult to handle. Dr Margret highlighted that it is the time to go back to Ayurveda for most of the medical issues as bacteria have not developed resistance to Ayurveda for past 5000 years. I wish Mrs Chhavi Rastogi all the best in her endeavours.

Why are majority of our women still deprived?
This refers to the report titled ‘Introspect why 40 per cent are Deprived’ in Organiser dated February 11, 2018. In Stree Shakti in Bharatiya Thought and Practice, a seminar organised by Group of Intellectuals and Academicians (GIA), Dr Krishna Gopal, RSS Sahsarkaryavah, very aptly told scholars and activists, who spoke about equality between men and women, to consider the fact, that Indian thought is not geared towards dichotomies, but rather it is considered a unifying thought. It may be added, that, God or nature has created men and women complementary to each other, and not for fighting against each other. The two are different in their capabilities, and bent of mind. But our tradition has never decimated women against men. As Dr Krishna Gopal pointed out, we must introspect about the reasons why almost 40 per cent women in India are bereft of educational opportunities and suffer from debilitating diseases like Anemia. The declining sex ratio is also a major concern. Present system must be replaced, by rules and laws based on our values, tradition and scriptures to restore peaceful family life.

Corruption means Congress
The cover story dated March 4, 2018 in connection with the PNB Banking Fraud was a good read. The news that Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi”s wife bought Rs 1.5 crore gems from Nirav Modi was quite shocking. It is all the more interesting that while Rahul Gandhi and other Congress Big Wigs are alleging the most conscientious and wise PM, Shri Narendra Modi and his dedicated and devoted team of Ministers of corruption, they themselves are in the mire of corruption. Bapu used to say that a lawyer whose arguments are not based on truth shouts all the more, while the other one need not because he is based on truth. The Big Wigs of the Congress, who were under the false impression that levelling false allegations against Modi, will help them win the hearts of people, are now in a fix. The PNB Banking Scam itself is a relic of the Congress’ past. It takes time to eradicate the culture of corruption which was spawned by Congress over the decades. Let Prime Minister’s anti-corruption and anti-black money policies come to its fruition. Remember it is the hard work which speaks and not mere shouting. So while Congress itself is engulfed in corruption, how do they dare to level baseless charges against Modi and his team and question their Honesty and Integrity. Smt Sushma Swaraj has rightly said that the last two regimes of the Congress were the most corrupt regimes. Bhagwan Shri Krishna advised Duryodhana and Karna during the Kurukshetra war that only those persons who themselves follow ‘Dharma’ have right to speak about it.

Any Tinkering with AFSPA would be detrimental to counter-insurgency operations
This is with reference to the news that government is looking at ways to dilute AFSPA. Having served in insurgency prone areas of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and J &K as an army officer, I can state with some conviction that any dilution in Armed Forces (Special Powers) Acts (AFSPA) would seriously impact counter insurgency operations, which are currently under progress. Any such move on the part of the government at this stage will send wrong signals and would inject fresh lease of life into the evil designs of terrorists. It will encourage the insurgents to ‘stag onsome more time’, because the Government was thinking of amending some of the sections of AFSPA.

CBI should Probe CPM Violence in Kerala
Organiser has been extensively covering the CPM atrocities in Kerala for years. I must say it is the greater concern for the peace-loving people in the present India. I request the Government of India to do something to tackle this red terror sponsored by the CPM government in Kerala, which is posing a grave physical threat to the members of both the Opposition parties in the State- the BJP and the Congress. We have been observing how the RSS and BJP members in Kerala are being brutally eliminated one by one by the CPM goons and that prompted BJP President Amit Shah to undertake a successful “Jana Raksha Yatra” in Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan”s hometown Kannur, where the maximum number of killings(84 of the total120!) has taken place. The latest victim to fall prey to this violence is the Congress. All this is a matter of great alarm. The BJP should direct the CBI to investigate the murders and bring the guilty to book. The CPM has become a veritable fascist party in Kerala which wants no political opposition in the state. Their party symbol – the hammer and sickle – has become an instrument to hack the Opposition members to death. The media’s silence on this frightening bloodbath being perpetrated by the Kerala CPM is also very unfortunate.
