Panchkula: Hindu is a moderate and universal thinking. Limiting it in any communal boundary will be injustice to it,” said RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi, while addressing a gathering of intellectuals. The function was presided over by Lt Gen (retd) Shri VS Jaiswal. RSS Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt and Lt General (retd) Shri KJ Singh were also present on the occasion.
Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi stressed on environment protection and social harmony. Citing the Upanishdas and Gita he said discrimination against anyone on the basis of caste is against the fundamental values of dharma. He said casteism has caused huge damage to the society. Therefore, we all need to think above the caste considerations. He also stressed not to compare Bharat with China, America or any other country and ensure that Bharat remains Bharat only. He called upon the intellectuals to work for protecting the Indian languages. He said we may learn any number of languages but the purity of our own language should not be disturbed.

Epitome of simple living and high thinking

Vishakhapatnam: Noted Sanskrit scholar Acharya Dendukoori Shiva Prasad passed away on February 6. He was 83. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters. He was born in 1935 near Guntur. He worked as Sangh Pracharak for two years before moving to Visakhapatnam, where he began his formal education and completed PhD in Sanskrit with Gold Medal. He later joined Andhra University as a Professor and retired as HoD of Sanskrit Department. He inspired many swayamsevaks to devote their life to the Sangh work and was guide to many Pracharaks as well. He was Vibhag Karyavah during the Emergency in 1975 and spent 19 months in jail. He served in various responsibilities including Prant Karyavah and Prant Sanghachalak. In 2004, he relinquished formal Sangh responsibility. Even after that he ensured Gruha Sampark everyday and was an epitome of how a swayamsevak should be.
