Chennai: RSS Chennai organised Sakthi Sangamam, an informal gathering of the families of swayamsevaks at Sakthi Karyalaya on February 11. Around 1350 persons including women and children had a chat with the RSS Akhil Bharatiya, Kshetra and Prant leaders. Traditional games like Ammanai, Pallankuzhi, Paandi, Paramapadam, etc kindled the enthusiasm among the participants. Paati Vaidhyam and inputs from Arogya Bharati were the added attractions.
RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah Sewa Pramukh Shri Gunwant Singh Kothari inaugurated the Sangamam. Floral tribute was paid to the ‘kolu’ (display) of freedom fighters.  Shri OK Mohan, Shri Aniruddh Deshpande, Shri Sthanumaalayan and other Sangh Adhikaris were also present. Demonstration by youth on digital was well received.  Quiz kindled the forgotten facts. Discussion on current topics related to Tamil Nadu brought clarity to many. Bhajans and Shiv Vaidya made the environment pleasant. The chat with Sangh Adhikaris made the day memorable. Cow-based products and Sangh-related literature on various topics were on the sale. Some families brought their eatables and distributed among others, whereas a common arrangement was made for dinner and a traditional ‘thamboola bag’ for the families leaving the Karyalaya. Prant Kutumba Prabodhan Pramukh Shri MKR Mohan insisted on practicing the family values at home and the society. Mahanagar Sanghachalak Shri Chandrasekar was also present.

Remembering Deendayalji with a difference

Chitrakoot: In order to pay tribute to Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya on his 50th death anniversary, the Deendayal Research Institute, in association with Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical Institute Aurangabad and Sewankur Dr Hedgewar Rugnalaya Maharashtra, organised 108 health awareness camps in 108 Village Panchayats together in the radius of 50 km around Chitrakoot on February 11. Senior doctors from various medical colleges and medical institutions from Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh came together for these camps. They educated the villagers through interactions about health precautions, cleanliness and malnutrition. Health check-ups were also done by organising health camps. Around 200 to250 patients were treated at every camp. In total, about 20,000 people were treated in all the camps.
The joint concluding ceremony of all the camps was held in Chitrakoot in the presence of Health Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Ashutosh Tandon. Mahant Ramhridaya Das Maharaj from Ramayani Kuti, Sant Madan Gopal Das from Kamadgiri Peeth, Mahant Govind Das Maharaj were also present on the occasion.

Sarsanghachalak’s speech is  misrepresented

New Delhi: RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Dr Manmohan Vaidya said the Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat’s speech in Bihar was misinterepreted by a section of media. Shri Bhagwat had said that if situation arises and the Constitution permits, the Indian Army would take six months to prepare the society, whereas the Sangh swayamsevaks can be trained within three days. “This was no way a comparison between the Indian Army and the Sangh Swayamsevaks, but it was a comparison between the general society and the Swayamsevaks. Both are to be trained by Indian Army only,” Dr Vaidya said in a statement.
