The threat of Islamic radical organisations, including the PFI, is looming large. Their journey from Dar-ul-Harb to Dar-ul-Islam must be aborted determinedly

Rakesh Shetty

Recently when the campaign to ‘ban PFI’ was trending, a friend questioned me, “You can ban an organisation but what about its mindset?” The SIMI was banned during Vajpayee’s reign. But what happened later? True to their character, the members created several organisations in different names but with the same agenda of ‘Islamisation’ and continued their agenda of hate in one way or the other. Right from the Mumbai serial blasts to the recent incidents of bomb blasts, those arrested have been members of the banned SIMI or were those who continued the work of SIMI under a new name. Despite a ban on the organisation, the agenda does not change.
The main aim of these Islamic organisations is to convert a country from Dar-Ul-Harb to Dar-Ul-Islam. As  Dr Ambedkar said, “According to Muslim Canon Law the world is divided into two camps, Dar-ul-Islam (abode of Islam), and Dar-ul-Harb (abode of war). A country is Dar-ul-Islam when it is ruled by Muslims. A country is Dar-ul-Harb when Muslims only reside in it but are not rulers of it. That being the Canon Law of the Muslims, India cannot be the common motherland of the Hindus and the Musalmans. It can be the land of the Musalmans—but it cannot be the land of the ‘Hindus and the Musalmans living as equals…”.
Fundamentally, all Semitic religions believe in the dictum “Their path alone is true and all others are false’. They don’t stop at that. They believe that those on the ‘false path’ have to be brought to their ‘true path’. If the Christian Evangelists accomplish this smoothly through conversion, allurements under the garb of service (except during the period of Inquisition), Islamists do it through use of power and fear. Iran, which was a Zoroastrian nation, was converted to an Islamic country within a span of 15 years. While Mesopotamia and Babylon were converted to Islam in 17 years, Egypt surrendered to Islam in 21 years.
Despite continued efforts for the last 840 years, India has remained as ‘Dar-ul-Harb’ for them. Given this, one wonders the bloodshed our country might have to witness in the future! This is not mere scaremongering. A cursory look into the travails of Hindus during the Partition, within Pakistan and later in Bangladesh will give us a glimpse into the reality that we often choose to neglect.
We know the fact that the Muslim League worked in tandem with the British to affect the Partition. The
manner in which the partition was done and the bloodshed that followed was shocking. In the name of ‘Direct Action Day’, ethnic cleansing of Hindus was carried out in Kolkata. The Jihad by Muslim League stopped only when the Hindus picked up arms in self-defence. What happened to the Hindus in Pakistan after partition was unbelievable.
Organisations like the PFI which are operating in Karnataka with impunity are of the same ideology. The PFI and its front organisations like Satyasarini, have been working on conversions tirelessly.
The huge conspiracy of Love Jihad. Sadly we have seculars who justify such heinous acts as an expression of Love between individuals. The former Chief Minister of Kerala Achyutanandan of the Congress had stated that the PFI was involved in Islamisation of the state and in conversion through love jihad. The Church in Kerala and several Christian organisations too have voiced their concerns over Love Jihad.
Karnataka too has witnessed the bloody acts of PFI. About 175 cases were registered against the PFI for their involvement in communal riots in Shivamogga, kidnap and murder of school students in Hunsur, rioting and many other incidents. But as soon as Siddaramaiah took charge as CM, all the 175 cases were withdrawn. The CM himself had publicly exhorted that everyone should fight against Hindu organisations.
In the immediate aftermath of CM’s statement, Prashant Poojary, who was fighting against illegal slaughterhouses, was murdered in Moodabidri. The government which has utterly failed in maintaining law and order in the state tried to underplay the incident by terming it a politically motivated ‘crime’. Bolstered by such callous attitude of the government, the Jihadis continued their murderous spree in Karnataka. Barely a fortnight ago young Paresh Mesta was brutally killed following a communal flare-up, now Deepak Rao who did not belong to any organisation has been murdered.
Way back in the 90s, Justice Jagannatha Shetty Commission had alerted that Bhatkal and the coastal areas of Karnataka were turning into mini-Pakistans. However, none of the political parties really bothered to address the issues raised in the report. Today, both Uttar Kannada and Dakshina Kannada districts are witnessing it all.
One can only imagine the situation which has deteriorated to a stage where young people like Sharat Madiwala, Paresh Mesta and Deepak Rao are murdered only because they are Hindus. Deepak Rao was, in fact, working for Majeed, a Muslim and most of his daily transactions,
interactions were with the Muslims. He was also involved in cultural and Dharmic activities of his village and was a regular participant in events organised by like-minded organisations. A good Samaritan, he was known to help people in any possible way. If such youngsters are being killed just because they are Hindus, who should be held responsible for the mindset of their murderers? Who will bear the responsibility of Deepak’s aged mother and his speech-impaired brother?
PFI’s Plots
BJP Karyakarta Rudresh was brutally murdered in broad daylight in Bengaluru in Oct 2016. The NIA which investigated the case had arrested four persons and their charge-sheets clearly stated that all those arrested belonged to the PFI. Rudresh, who was murdered had no acquaintance whatsoever with his killers. Despite this, the killers had two reasons to murder him. One, that he belonged to the RSS and two, that he was a ‘Kafir’. Killing ‘Kafirs’ is a part of the Jihad that would take the country towards ‘Dar-ul-Islam’. Killing someone in the “ganavesh” of the RSS would instil a sense of fear in the society.
If RSS weakens, the PFI would only be left with the seculars and the communists to deal with. Today it is the ‘communal Hindus’, tomorrow the Communists, later the seculars; the journey from Dar-ul-Harb to Dar-ul-Islam would have completed! ‘Political rivalry’ is the name being given to these murders while the real reason is brushed under the carpet.
Despite all that has happened, the path ahead is a concern for us all. The answer has already been provided by our forefathers. Religions like Islam and Christianity that came from outside, got entangled with the unique social structure here and later amalgamated with the same social structures. However, the misjudged move of Khilafat movement by Gandhiji, Arabization started by the Muslim league has brought us to such a stage. But the youth, will have to ponder on how their forefathers lived on this land for centuries after emerging out of the shadows of Wahabbism.
