Narad Jayanti has become an annual national event not only to remember the ideals of Devarishi Narad in communication, but also to respect the positive contribution of some journalists in the society. This year such events are being organised across the country from first week of May and will continue till the next month. On May 12, numerous functions were held. There are reports of organising functions and felicitating mediamen in Jaipur. Senior Pracharak Shri J Nandakumar addressed the gathering at BHU, Varanasi. Functions were also held in Lucknow, Vijayawada, Bhubaneshwar, Imphal, Panipat, Bhopal, Noida, etc
