Bengaluru:
“Hindutva is our national identity. A Hindu is the one who loves and cares for everyone in the society thinking above caste, gender and language barriers. A Hindu observes the society with an Ekatma Bhaav (Integral Vision). Hindu is the one who always conserves the nature and never exploits it. A Hindu practices the values such as sacrifice, selfless service and feeling of ‘we’ instead of ‘me’ in his daily life. Such an active Hindu is an RSS swayamsevak. A swayamsevak is the one who brings a transformation in the society,” said RSS Sahsarkaryavah Shri V Bhagaiah on March 29, while addressing a gathering of swayamsevaks at Yugadi Utsav. The function was organised on 128th birth anniversary of RSS founder Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar by RSS Bengaluru Dakshin Vibhag.
“Even after 91 years of RSS and 70 years of Independence, we still see that nearly 40 to 50 per cent of the society is still affected with illiteracy, drug abuse and other social ailments. We need institutional changes to overcome all these problems. Special attention is necessary to improve qualitative service in Government schools and Government hospitals,” the RSS Sahsarkaryavah said.
The RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah Bouddhik Pramukh Shri Mukunda CR, senior Pracharaks Shri Chandrashekar Bhandary, Shri KS Nagaraj and others were also present. The Yugadi Utsav was attended by over a thousand swayamsevaks in  the RSS uniform and other citizens of the city. ‘Keshava Darshan’, a pictorial exhibition on the life and legacy of RSS founder Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar was also organised in Keshavakrupa.

VHP Rath Yatra for Social Harmony

Chennai: A VHP Rath Yatra for social harmony was organised by VHP Uttar Tamil Nadu unit on April 2. The Yatra began from Shri Parthasarathy Temple and concluded at Sriperambadur, the birth place of Ramanuja. The function was addressed by Shri UV Sudharsanacharya Swamigal, Minjur, Shri Venkateswaran, VHP, Kerala and Tamil Nadu; former DGP Shri Balachandran; retired IAS officer Shri C Rajendran; actor Shri Dhamu; Shri RBVS Manian from VHP; VHP President  of Tamil Nadu Shri S Vasudevan and VHP organising secretary Shri PM Nagarajan. The yatra began with Shri K Srikkanth, cricketer, flagging off the Rath from Parthasarathy temple premises.
Shri UV Sudharsanacharya Swamigal said Acharyan Ramanujar promoted unity in the society and said there should be no difference in the name of caste and community. Shri RBVS Manian strongly condemned the actions in five temples where entry was prohibited to local backward community. He asked the gathering how can one accept Ram, Krishna, Ramanujar and Adi Sankar without their teachings. He insisted that if the social harmony has to be achieved as wished by Acharyan Ramanujar the society should be caste-free. Shri S Ravi spoke on the connection to Ramanujar and Parthasarathy Perumal. Shri C Rajendran said we should be happy that we are born on the same land as that of Acharyan Ramanujar. Shri Dhamu encouraged the crowd to be energetic and cheerful.    n

Show the Sangh in your Conduct

Jabalpur: A swayamsevak should constantly think that he might have joined the Sangh, but how much the Sangh has entered in his conduct. This is so because the Sangh is not reflected through the activities but through the conduct of the swayamsevak, said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat while speaking at Moroubhau Munje birth centenary celebration concluding ceremony organised at Manas Bhavan on April 2. Moroubhau Munje was among the initial Sangh Pracharaks who dedicated himself to the propagation of the Sangh on the call of the RSS founder Dr Hedgewar.
Shri Bhagwat said Dr Hedgewar presented his own example before the swayamsevaks and then told others to follow the path. It was because of his own dedication and commitment that many youth dedicated themselves to the cause of the nation. He said those who followed the path of Dr Hedgewar were not the carbon copy, rather they were unique. That is why they have been called swayamsiddha. Normally, it is believed that nothing grows under a big tree. But Dr Hedgewar was a Mahavriksha, which helped so many trees to grow under his shade. Morubhau Munje was one of
such trees.
A book, Grihastha Pracharak, on the life of Morobhau Munje was released on the occasion. Referring to the book the Sarsanghachalak said the book strengthens the thinking about Sangh and then that thinking is transformed into action. He said the popularity that the Sangh has received today is the outcome of 90 years tapasya of people like Shri Munje who have become foundation stones.
Shri Bhagwat said Morobhau could have acquired so many materialistic things in his life and also earn huge money but after coming into the contact of RSS founder Dr Hedgewar he dedicated his entire life to the nation. Morobhau was among the workers who went to Lahore and Rawalpindi to unite the Hindus during Partition.
Speaking on the occasion Mahamandaleshwar Swami Akhileshwarananda Giri said: “I have been receiving guidance from Morubhau. He cared for each and every worker. When I apprised him of my decision to receive Sannyas, he scolded me saying the society needs dedicated people for service, why do you think of Sannyas? Then I assured him that even being a Sannyasi I will continue to work for
the nation.”
The winners of an essay competition organised on the topic of ‘Partition’ were also honoured on the occasion. Prior to this function Shri Mohan Bhagwat inaugurated Dada Virendrapuri Eye Institute. Speaking on the occasion he said that there is no place for ego in sewa.

Radhakrishna Bhatt is no more

Kochi: Senior RSS leader V Radhakrishna Bhatt passed away on March 28. He was former Zilla Pracharak and had held many important responsibilities like Ernakulam Vibhag Karyavah, Kerala Prant Shareerik Pramukh and Prant Bouddhik Pramukh, etc. He was the only Sangh leader in Kerala who could shoulder both the last two responsibilities simultaneously in the organisation.
Even after returning from Pracharak’s life, he worked as a full timer. When he worked as Zilla Karyavah and Vibhag Karyavah, the Sangh did not have to deploy a Zilla or Vibhag Pracharak in his jurisdiction. He was one of the most prominent Sangh veterans groomed by the late K Bhaskar Rao. He was Mukhkya Shikshak of the first Sangh Shikhsha Varg of Kerala in 1965. He was a good musician and had tuned several
Sangh gangeets.
He successfully worked hard to bring Daltis and other weaker sections to the Sangh fold in rural areas of Ernakulam, Thrissur, Idikki and Alappuzha. He had an excellent personal relations with Shri Guruiji, Shri Balasaheb Deoras, Shri Yadvarao Joshi and many other veteran Sangh leaders.

Darashikoh is highly relevant today

New Delhi: Ninth Chamanlal Memorial Lecture was organised on March 31. Delivering the lecture Union Minister of State for Power Piyush Goel said every person or the organisation needs moral authority in the form of an individual or an organisation, which can stop the person to follow wrong path. The RSS is the same moral authority for us which saves us from taking the wrong path. The simplicity of Chamanlalji attracted innumerable people world over.
Referring to the bond of unity in the context of Darashikoh, Shri Goel said the nation direly needs scholars like Darashikoh who tried to bridge the gap between the Hindus and Muslims. The country has forgotten him, but his views are needed the most today. He applauded the efforts of renaming Dalhousie Road as Darashikoh Road in Delhi. Darashikoh advocated development of all sections of the society and we today, under the leadership of Modiji, are doing the same thing, Shri Goel said.
Dr KK Muhammad, former director of Archaeological Survey of India, said Akbar had started Persian translation of Hindu epics. Later, Darashikoh
translated Upanishads and many other Hindu epics into Persian, which proved very helpful in propagation of Indian knowledge world over. Director General of National Museum Dr BR Mani said if Darashikoh had become ruler of India after Shahjahan, the history of Bharat would have been
different. Shri Saumita Gokhale also spoke on the occasion.
