In the name of freedom of expression, attempts are being made to berate India’s unity and call for balkanisation of Indian union

Referring to the protests against the Government, Finance Minister Arun Jaitely said “We don’t know whether ongoing attempts to defame and destabilise the present Government at the Centre are manufactured rebellion or not. But certainly the protests are politically motivated, primarily dictated by reasons other than conscience, by beneficiaries of old regime.”
Has Modi hurt the old regime, for which power brokers and people with vested interests that his government is being labelled intolerant from time to time by the Opposition and Left-Maoist students’ Union? Has Modi become a great threat to the very existence to the Opposition—particularly to the Congress and Left parties? Has the Opposition seen the writings on the wall even before the next General elections? Is the Opposition scared? Does the Opposition think that by using Kanhaiya, Umar and Maoist students’ unions like AISA they can destabilise Modi Government? Is the Opposition building a fake intolerant issue against Modi to come on one platform to fight Modi in 2019 and rally Muslims behind them who are known to vote en bloc against the BJP?
We all know that after coming to power, Modi-led BJP Government has hurt the interest of many people in the country who for decades had entrenched themselves in the power corridors of Delhi. Modi’s sudden announcement on November 8, 2016 to demonetise notes of Rs 500 and 1000 to suck out black money left many
powerful people and prominent political leaders fuming. Nation was surprised to see the reaction of Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal who were in the forefront demanding demonetisation decision to be reverted immediately.
Modi, after becoming India’s Prime Minister, had also marginalised the powerful elites and who’s who of Delhi’s lutyens. Modi has stopped the flow of funds to NGOs, many of which were engaged in harming the interest of the country at the behest of their patrons abroad. Modi has also taken a strong stand against Pakistan; this has hurt the pro-Pakistan fifth columnist in the country, else why did the mainstream media and its established journos rush to JNU to promote Kanhaiya and Umar, under whose very nose anti-India protests and slogans were raised?
On terrorism, Modi Government has made its intentions very clear to fight policy of terrorism by striking at the
terror camps inside Myanmar and Pakistan. This marked India’s change in policy to deal with terrorists operating from safe heavens across the borders. The surgical strike by India’s elite troops, against terrorists, first across the border in Myanmar and later inside Pakistan to destroy terror camps has confirmed the worst fears of Pro-Pakistan establishment in the Indian media and of Human rights groups—If Modi is pushed into the corner; he seriously intends to take the war into enemy’s camp at an appropriate time. We can’t condone the fact that both Indian media and Human rights agencies accuse the Indian Government and armed forces, battling decades of Pakistan sponsored terrorism, of violating Human rights in the valley.
The discomfort of the political class with the functioning of Modi Govternment—Congress party in particular and the entire Opposition in general has not gone unnoticed by the people of this country. The Congress and its Vice President Rahul Gandhi had committed a serious faux-pas by terming the strike against terrorists in Pakistan—fake and its demand for release of the video footage of surgical strike carried out by our troops has hit the credibility of the Congress beyond repair. Rahul and Congress party leadership should have known the purpose of surgical strike inside Pakistan. It was meant to convey the message to Rawalpindi that their blackmail on nuclear war has no takers in the present government and the surgical strike has served its purpose.
The recent criticism of the Army Chief Gen Bipin Rawat, by the Congress leaders, for warning to the stone pelters in the Valley has further brought shame to the grand old party of India. This virtually indicates, under Modi’s
leadership, the Congress’s discomfiture with India’s growing confidence to pay back to the enemies in their language. The Congress must analyse the causes behind the slide in its fortunes. At no other time the natives of this country were against the Congress as they are now for the simple reason for its majority bashing for vote bank politics. If Congress continues to live in a self delusion, it’s well on the path of self destruction and even coalition with regional parties like SP can’t ensure its survival.
Post 2014, one can see a trend where Left-liberal and radical groups are working with a common objective—
destabilisation of BJP Governmnent and defaming India to block foreign investment! What happened initially at JNU, Jadhavpur, Ashoka University and now recently in Delhi University can’t be considered isolated incidents. These are well orchestrated incidents and the contours of which need to be understood and exposed before the nation.
There is a deep rooted conspiracy to target the BJP Government; hatched by the Left-Maoist leaning students’ unions. They raised anti-India slogans in JNU in favour of Afzal Guru who was convicted by the highest court in the country for attack on India’s Parliament and declared him as a “martyr”. Endorsement of Jihadist forces in the Valley and those of Maoists who are also at war with the Indian Union, points to a deeper conspiracy to destabilise the BJP Government and the nation. In the name of freedom of expression; attempts are being made on regular basis to berate India’s unity, call for balkanisation and demonise Indian armed forces battling terrorism in the hostile Valley to bring down the morale of the armed forces.
Left-backed students’ unions in their hate for Modi have
described Theo-fascist separatists’ movements asmovements for National self-determination. Isn’t the Left taking anti-national stand on Kashmir? They support most retrograde separatists’ forces but continue to live in the denial mode over the ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pundits. Is the left experimenting with the Adhikari thesis?
The opposition blinded by their hate for Modi has belittled India’s national security. Can the anti-national agenda of the opposition in their hate campaign be the competitive agenda in the national politics? The opposition must know that rabble rousing, hate and revenge politics and regressive agendas will not in any way serve the interest of the nation or the govt, but will only help the enemy. What will be the consequences, for the nation, of destabilising an elected govternment? Let the Opposition criticise Modi, nation will have no problems. But
why destabilise a democratically elected govt? The Opposition must have patience and must wait for its turn in 2019.
Prime Minister Modi who is constitutionally elected has a
responsibility to ensure that the hate-mongers and inimical forces in the country are dealt with a firm hand.
