Sending a stark warning to the CPM-led LDF Government in Kerala which turns a blind eye to the dreaded scenario prevailing in the state, on January 24, thousands of people converged at Jantar Mantar under the banner of Janadhikar Samiti to register their strong protest against the communist attrocities on RSS-BJP workers in Kerala. Demanding stringent action against the perpetrators of red terror and the CPM cadres who are on a killing spree towards RSS-BJP workers in the state, people in large numbers thronged the streets of Jantar Mantar, New Delhi.Senior RSS leaders and other dignitaries from different walks of public life including art, culture, cinema and social service addressed the massive protest meeting which staged adjacent to Kerala House, the official state mission of Government of Kerala at New Delhi.
RSS Sah-Sarkaryavah Shri Dattatreya Hosabale said that the law and order situation in Kerala has deteriorated and atrocities on RSS-BJP workers have been on the rise since 2016. “The CPM is based on the principle of hatred. CPM came to power, not to rule but to take revenge on RSS-BJP workers. CPM must dare to openly admit that their policy is to annihilate all Swayamsevaks in Kerala,” he said. Atrocities on RSS-BJP workers run rampant in Kerala. If the government of Kerala fails to take control, the people of Kerala will have to demand President’s rule to restore peace in the state, he added.

Pointing at the banners and placards portraying the gruesome murders and heinous acts perpetrated by Communists, Shri Hosabale said, there was a big clamour over ‘Intolerance’ but the photos and banners displayed here explain what the word intolerance means. “The history of Communism is nothing but gruesome bloodsheds and mass murders. CPM, the abbreviation of ‘Conspiracy Party of Murderers’, is in a relentless pursuit to turn God’s Own Country to Devil’s own country,” he further added.
Starting with a poignant poem, originally written in Malayalam, in which a young girl Vismaya, the daughter of Balidani Santhosh Kumar asking the murderers as to why they killed her father, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah Prachar Pramukh Shri J Nandakumar said, “Santhosh Kumar was murdered in Andalur, within the limits of Dharmadom- the constituency of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, because he contested CPM in an election for the first time in the history in Andalur.”
“Communism is defective in theory and destructive in practice. What is going on in Kerala is a state-sponsored killing. The protest against Communist terrorism in Kerala will not end with the meeting at Jantar Mantar. The show of strength in Delhi, nearby the sanctum sanctorum of democracy, was the need of the hour to raise the voice of the people of Kerala that has been silenced by the Communist tyranny. The people who believe in democracy will hold similar protests across the country,” he said.
VHP general secretary Surendra Jain said, “Half of the total 300 workers (RSS, BJP and ABVP) murdered by CPM are Dalits. In JNU, the Leftists are so vocal about Freedom of Speech but in Kerala, they wouldn’t spare a single person who raises a voice of dissent.” He also warned CPM that if the situation continues, Communist party will be wiped out of Kerala like in Russia and West Bengal.
Speaking to Organiser on the success of mammoth congregation, Smt Meenakshi Lekhi MP said, “Most of the media houses operate from Delhi and the message not reaching to the people because it seems to be some kind of blockade that these things are not being covered. The protest was a super success and at a very short notice, thousands of people had connected. And their point of view is very clear that this kind of atrocities cannot be tolerated across the country and those who are responsible, must be taken to task and those who are victims have to be rehabilitated and compensated for all the pain they have undergone.”
“We have demanded action by the government institutions and National Human Rights Commission must carry forward its investigation because there is no hue and cry by any other groups on this issue”, Smt Lekhi added. She also urged the state government for grand compensation to the victims. BJP national organisation secretary Shri Ramlal, RSS Prant Sanghchalak Kul Bhushan Ahuja, Shri Manoj Tiwari MP, Maulana Kaukab Mujtaba of Muslim Rashtriya Manch, Actor Mukesh Khanna, Gajendra Chouhan, Sonal Mansigh, Meenakshi Lekhi, Dr Udit Raj, Parvesh Varma were also among the speakers. Shri Alok Kumar extended the vote of thanks on behalf of the Janadhikar Samiti.
In a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan, the Samiti urged the Chief Minister to take strong action against the culprits and ensure the situation does not escalate any further. However, alarmed by the mounting public ire outside the Kerala House, Mr Vijayan immediately left for Kerala in the early hours of the day. Vijayan cut short his Delhi visit and cancelled his scheduled meeting with Union Minister for Aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju and immediately returned to Kerala at 3 am. This is not the first time Vijayan fled after facing protest outside Kerala. When a similar incident took place in Bhopal December last year, Mr Vijayan chose to quit the meeting venue. In the meeting, Advita Kala demanded that Pinarayi Vijayan should explain to the public why he has gone absconding by cancelling the scheduled meetings. The raging crowd shouted slogans against the jungle raj prevailing in Kerala and called for an end to the murder politics of CPM.
RSS and BJP leaderships have constantly appealed to the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan who also holds the portfolio of Home Ministry, to visit Kannur and convene a peace committee meeting to end the prevailing atmosphere of violence and fear in the district. But no positive steps towards that direction have been taken, the memorandum alleges. After the protest meeting, a delegation led by Shri Dattatreya Hosabale, along with the general secretary of Janadhikar Samiti Shri Alok Kumar, Shri J Nandakumar and others visited the Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Hansraj Ahir and submitted a memorandum demanding the urgent intervention of Union Home Ministry into the situation.
Whenever CPM comes to power in the state, RSS-BJP workers have been falling prey to swords of the CPM cadres. With new LDF Government coming to power in 2016, the situation has deteriorated further and four RSS-BJP workers were killed in December 2016 and January 2017 alone. Unlike the past, in addition to professionally planned political murders, the situation has gone down to such an extent where victims are randomly chosen by the murders as if they have got a license to kill from the tops. The CPM lumpens do not even spare children and women. Recently, Vimala, an innocent housewife died in hospital after succumbing to serious burning injuries after a group of CPM cadres set her house ablaze. Statistics show, since 2016 the political violence against non-communist parties including RSS and BJP and Dalits has increased manifold. n
