The power of ancient divine Soma, a precious gift to the mankind, unveiled after 22 years of detailed study

Nagaraj Rao from Hyderabad

Veda Vigyan mein Rastra Darshan (the national philosophy in Vedic Wisdom) read a tag line displayed at a Press conference hosted by Divya Soma Rashtriya Veda Vignan Anusandhan Peeth in Hyderabad. Media conference was addressed by Shri Kapre Guruji, a well-known Vedic pundit, his disciple Shri Prasannachar and Soma Shri Sunil S Sambare Yoga Somacharya—Founder president Divya Soma Rashtriya Veda Vignan Anusandhan Peeth Hyderabad. We and our Soma Dhoot’s family had undertaken 17 Yagnya’s in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala and made Analytical Scientific Observation’s on Vedic Science Research Wing and published an analytical Scientific Documentary Report said Shri Sambare.
According to Acharya Kapreji, Veda Vignan is completely losing Traditional Values and regretfully our present and future generations are in darkness, which means there is no vision and direction. Soma has been shrouded in mystery for centuries. It is simultaneously a sacred hallucinogen plant used in secret Hindu rituals. They described it as a personified god.
The team claimed that most significant is that sacred Soma plant used to create Somarasa. Soma the Divya Mahaavshadi of India as well as a member of the ritual use of psychoactive substances. Soma provides a much-needed bridge between Eastern and Western esoteric traditions contained within the enigmatic verses about Soma in the Rigveda is a secret about ourselves and nature of our relationship to the world.
Since human civilisation, ages ago right from the Vedic era, Seers and Sages were worshipping the Soma Yaga. This divine juice called Soma Rasa was prepared from a very sacred and divine medical plant Soma also called “Mahaaushadiraja” king of medicines. Members of this group were devoted to science and they were known “Madhubrahmana”. The descendants of that group are called “Somayajis” who are 102 in number.
Not only in India, the research of Soma plant is going on in neighbouring countries like Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and even worldwide. Soma is of 24 types and is cultivated by Veda Vignan in Jamnagar and Dharmapuri. Soma Vedic Science Research Foundation, is itself as an organisation has taken precious projects which are related Guru Parampara of Ancient Bharat.
According to Kapreji, the root of all these thoughts and concepts remain the Vedic literature of India. Among them, the Rigveda and Atharvaveda have much contributed immensely. A special preparation called Somarasa and procedure of intake called Somapana are mentioned as a part of Yagna. Divine herb called soma was used for this purpose. The word Soma also meant “moon” so probably so its plant or herb with flowers that look like Moon, glowing white in colour. Centuries ago our ancestors had selected important sites having special spiritual radiations and established abodes of Lord Siva therin, the present day Botanists consider this mountain range to be an abode of as many as 700 species of medicinal plants. Thus plant Soma and other herbs required for prepared for Somarasa and Somayaga may have present in herbal wealth in this region.
Psychological disturbances such as stress, depression, anxiety, fear, insomnia and suicidal tendency are leading ultimately to death which is most common. People are eagerly looking to East with a hope for spiritual
rejuvenation of mind and body and perhaps intense research on plant Soma and knowledge of preparing is the only answer. The present society with many diseases and mental stress and strain may be eradicated giving way to healthy men full of energy, vigour and vitality. Possibly soma is the response to cure all the complex diseases and psychosomatic ailments of the modern world, he added. Earlier Vedic pundits gave a demo when Soma plants responded to the uttering of Pavamanasutra by quivering on its own although there was no breeze.
