Readers’ Forum : Pakistan:A bundle of lies

It is futile and frustrating to have a dialogue with Pakistan which thinks that if there is a dialogue on Kashmir then Kashmir is surely a disputed territory. India should point out the words of former Pakistani Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. In the aftermath of 1971 war , India had captured a large number of Pakistani solders and large territory. Prime Minister Indira Gandhi released those prisoners of war and Bhutto had said that in return Pakistan would recognise the status quo of the present boundary. Smt Gandhi believed Bhutto who latter on went back on his words. This is Pakistan’s history of denial, deceit and hypocrisy.

We must change our course
I feel that India’s Pakistan policy has been aimless and based on self illusions. We very well know that Pakistan is a big cheat and a liar but yet we accept good relations with it. We must do a course correction anchored in ground realities, so as to be able to take advantage of the internal dissensions in Pakistan. In Jammu and Kashmir , we must also engage in an information war to win the minds and hearts of the people. I feel that the Modi government has wasted its first two years by misjudging Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif .

Modi  against Pak occupation of Baluchistan
(Discourse Correction,August 28); This refers to the cover story of Organiser titled ‘Discourse Correction’ by Dr Pramod Pathak. We must compliment our  Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for   speaking out against Pakistani occupation of Baluchistan, Gilgit and Baltistan and we all hope that the BJP Government will keep up their words with overt and covert actions against the present Government of Pakistan,  which doesn’t believe in any  law or any international treaties or conventions. A Bombay newspaper has given a heartening news, which is like a ray of rope amid all prevailing darkness. This daily has reported that Pakistan was forced to close it”s border towards Baluchistan,  after a group of Afghans, staged a protest and tried to attack the border crossing in the troubled Baluchistan province. A large number of people had gathered near Chaman Gate near Baluchistan ,  to celebrate Afghan National Day . It was  during this time , some Afghans threw stones at the Chaman Gate and burnt Pakistani flags forcing the Gate to be shut down for indefinite period. Afghans, belonging to the border town of Spin Boldak protested by shouting slogans i Hindustan Zindabad  and also shouted slogans against Pakistan and threw stones at the Pakistan border guards. We hope that our Prime Minister has made a good start and his bold words will soon  be put in action.

Avoid being confrontationists
(Is the holy spirit the same as the Shakti?,August 14); I read the article ‘Is the holy spirit the same as the Shakti?’ by Rajiv Malhotra in Organiser with a keen interest. In fact I have read many books of Rajiv Malhotra on  Hinduism. We should not be confrontationists   with the Christians but should be friendly like our forefathers Swami Vivekananda and Swami Yoga Nand .I don”t agree with Rajiv Malhotra  regarding Kundalini vs Holy Spirit. To me the Holy Spirit and the Kundalini are the same since both regenerate a vast energy in our bodies.

Strategy of PM for next Olympics

(Learnings from Rio, September 4); This  refers to the cover story of Organiser titled ‘Learnings from Rio’ by Dilip Chaware. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s step to chart out an Olympic strategy for the next three games in 2020, 2024 and 2028 is a timely action. His announcement for setting up a task force for preparing a comprehensive action plan so as to ensure effective participation is seen as the most urgent step for rejuvenating the sports fraternity and the millions of fans who were expecting a sizeable medals in the just concluded Rio Olympics. It is so humiliating for a country of 125 crore people which ad deputed its largest contingent ever, numbering a total of 119 sports persons, was predicted to win between 10-12 medals in Rio, to return with just two medals and that also not gold.

India’s Rio performance highlights its debilitating status as a sporting nation. Being the seventh largest nation in size, India should have performed much better. However, we lag behind not just the US and China, but also Cuba and Switzerland. India is the only major country of its size that is struggling to win even a single gold at the Olympics. There is a lot of talent in India but that has to be nurtured. We need a renewed sporting policy and increased monetary , budgetary and coaching support. The politico-bureaucratic nexus must be broken. Sporting clubs and federations must be overhauled and manned by experienced managerial minds. To kick start the sporting culture, medal winners can be promoted as ambassadors of their respective games. Rather than giving crores of tax-payers money to individual medal  winners, we can spend the money for developing existing infrastructure.

Double-faced AAP
Reply to an RTI inquiry has revealed that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi has issued 72 new liquor licences to shops and 217 licenses to new bars totaling 289 new liquor licences in less than one and a half year : from Feb 2015 when AAP assumed power till July 5 this year. This comes to one licence every alternate day. This fact flies in the face of the party in Punjab where it is vehemently opposing drunkenness and all forms of intoxication. Their stand appears merely a politically motivated move.

Important task before the govt
(Untold Stories of Kairana—A Silent  Exodus, June 19 ); This refers to the article titled ‘Untold Stories of Kairana—A Silent Exodus’ by Arun Kumar Singh and Anita Tyagi in Organiser giving details of instances of brutalities done by Muslims , resulting in exodus of 350 Hindu families from Kairana  Village in Shamli District of western Uttar Pradesh. I would not blame Muslims so much , as they have a track record of indulging in such crimes. The real culprits are Gandhi , Nehru and Congress  (including their fellow travelers like Mulayams, Lalus and Mamatas etc). In the name of secularism, willfully they allowed all these Muslims, who are in fact Pakistanis and Bangladeshis , to live in truncated Bharat. All these Muslims had voted for the creation of Pakistan in 1945-46 elections. Not even a single Muslim candidate put by Congress, Gandhi or Nehru could win. All the Muslim seats were captured by Jinnah’s Muslim League, throughout Bharat. Therefore all these Muslims now living in truncated Bharat are foreigners, living in Bharat due to the treachery by Gandhi and Nehru. The pity is that even now Gandhi is being worshipped and our most dangerous enemies the Muslims are called ‘Muslim Brothers’ although they slaughtered ten lakh Hindus and Sikh in 1947 in West Pakistan and another 30 lakh Hindus in 1971 in East Pakistan, now called Bangladesh. Dr BR Ambedkar was very much disappointed and disgusted that Hindus were blindly following Congress and Gandhi and writes on page 404 of his book Pakistan or the Partition of India   that “Hindus are in the grip of Congress and the Congress is in the grip of Gandhi” and further explains that Gandhi was misleading the Hindus. Fundamental changes are required to be done to correct the dangerous situation. This is the most urgent and important task before Modi’s BJP government, requiring constitutional changes.

Chances are Bright
Donald Trump, the Republican front runner is hopeful of becoming the next President of the US although he is in the same position in which Shri Modi used to be, looked down by the pro-Muslim world and the so-called secular people. It is likely rather certainly that he will become the President of the US in spite of his so-called controversial remarks against the Muslims which have antagonised several vote banks, but still he can’t be scoffed at. The White House where there is a Muslim Head has declared that he is not a suitable candidate for the Presidency. But America is a strange country , if it can elect  Barrack Obama , it can also favour Donald Trumph. Even Russian President  Vladimir Putin has declared that Donald Trump is not only talented but outstanding . Most of the Americans think that Trump can handle the economy , illegal immigration and ISIS the best.
