Lucknow: RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat stressed the need to develop agriculture on the basis of Bharatiya ethos. Inaugurating Rajju Bhaiya Smriti Bhavan in Lucknow on March 28, he said, “Bharatiya farmers do farming to ensure meals to the people world over. They don’t do farming just to fulfill their own needs.” Rajju Bhaiya Bhavan is the State headquarters of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh and is situated at the SP Sen Marg, near Charbagh in Lucknow. Kshetra Pracharak Shri Shivnarayan, senior leader of Kisan Sangh Shri Virendra Singh, RSS National Executive Members Shri Madhubhai Kulkarni and Shri Ashok Beri, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Prachar Pramukh Shri Kripashankar and Poorvi Uttar Pradesh Kshetra Prachar Pramukh Shri Rajendra Saxena were also present on the occasion.
The Sarsanghachalak stressed the need that the new building should not confine just to the memory of the great visionary, but efforts should be made to materialise the ideals of all the great personalities who have been associated with it. “This should provide energy to the workers to work with more dedication and vigour,” he said adding that Rajju Bhaiya presented many ideals before the workers and those ideals should be visible in practice at this building. “Anyone visiting here should feel at home and also realise the good work being done here,” he added. He said we have to build a strong Bharat where people should say Bharat Mata Ki Jai on their own. “Imposing it on anyone will not work. We have to inspire the world through our own conducts and deeds to willing way it,” he added.
The building was mainly utilised as RSS Karyalaya in 1948 by the late Rajju Bhaiya. It was a residence for several senior Pracharaks since then. In 1949, Rajju Bhaiya along with the then senior functionaries including Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya, Nanaji Deshmukh, Atal Behari Vajpayee and others worked for the nation staying at the same building. In 1951, when Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee founded the Jan Sangh, he resided in this office. The first ever foundation meeting of the Jan Sangh was also held in the same building. Mission and Innovation will transform the Nation

Hapur: Youth awareness camps were organised at Pilkhua under Hapur District by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) workers to mould the youth to take up innovation as career option. Such camps were held in Garhmukteshwar and Kuchesar Road also. A total of 1,192 youth participated in three camps, which concluded on March 20. About 1,000 of them came to the RSS contact for the first time.
RSS Pashchim Uttar Pradesh Kshetra Pracharak Shri Alok Kumar addressed the youth at the concluding ceremony. He said if the youth take up innovation as career option and work with missionary spirit, not only their personal life but also the nation will be benefited immensely.
The idea of organising the camps clicked during a survey conducted by Zilla Pracharak of Hapur Shri Ved Prakash in 230 of the total 273 Gram Panchayats. During the survey it was noticed that the biggest challenge before the youth is seeking a job as farming is no more a profitable business.
Majority of youth are not aware of the career options. In such a situation some of the youth are turning to crime or addiction. The first youth awareness camp was organised in Hapur in which youth from six development blocks came. The encouraging results of that camps basically motivated the workers to organise more such camps.

Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru inspiration for all
Raipur: Chhattisgarh Governor Shri Balramji Das Tandon called upon the young generation to follow the ideals of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. He was speaking at a symposium organised in Raipur by Rashtriya Sikh Sangat on March 27. Cautioning against the forces which seem adamant to weaken the nation, Shri Tandon said the sacrifices made by Bhai Matidas, Bhai Satidas, Bhai Diala, Bhai Taru Singh and also by Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev. etc will be written in golden words.
National general secretary of the Sikh Sangat Shri Biharilal said the sacrifices made by Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev shook the British Government. Dr Avatar Singh Shastri described Bhagat Singh as the sanjeevani of freedom movement. Shri Avinash Jaiswal called upon the youth to remember the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. ' Develop villages in scientific way ’
New Delhi : Noted scientist, former Director of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) and presently the head of IANE Satish Dhawan Chair in BARC Dr Anil Kakodkar stressed the need to develop the village on the basis of Bharatiya ancient science and knowledge. Delivering 6th Nanaji Deshmukh Memorial Lecture in New Delhi on March 25 he said, “Nanaji knew that Bharat cannot be developed until we develop village. That is why he dedicated his life for development of villages and showed extraordinary results.” The topic of the lecture was “Bharatiya Tradition of Science”.
Dr Kakodkar said, though he could not practically see the wonderful work done by Nanaji in Chitrakoot and some other places, whatever he could know by reading books he can imagine the towering personality and also the gigantic works that Nanaji has done. He said the Bharatiya educational institution excelled in the world for the knowledge that they used to impart. Not only in knowledge and science they excelled in the field of technology also. The Vastuship, surgery, medicine, mathematics were unparallel.
The country’s renowned scientist said the biggest challenge today in modern Bharat is to develop the village as majority of the population reside in village and without develop Bharat cannot become a developed nation. He said the prime objective of all policies and activities now should be to reduce the gap between the villages and the cities.
Presiding over the discussion Union Minister of Science and Technology Dr Harsh Vardhan said it is beyond any doubt that ancient knowledge of Bharat in science and technology was unparallel but still many lose their temper when anybody discusses about them. Organiser Bureau
Hindus oppose bid to replace ‘India’ with ‘South Asia’
California: California Department of Education (CDE) is in the process of replacing the word ‘India’ with ‘South Asia’ and ‘Hinduism’ with ‘religion of ancient India’. These changes will take place for 6th and 7th grade history-social sciences textbooks. There are many other changes in the proposed changes that can mislead children to understand the meaning and importance of words such as India, Hindu, Hinduism and the Vedas. A group of professors under the name of ‘South Asia Faculty Group’ had written to the Department of Education, suggesting that most references to ‘India’ before 1947 be replaced with “South Asia”. The suggestions created a huge uproar in the Indian-American community based in California. In March, a petition by a group of scholars ‘Scholars for People’ and signed by over 18,000 people had opposed the move. On March 24, many students and thier parents testified before a Commission against the proposal.
Women entrepreneurs meet by LUB
Bengaluru: Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB), the leading organisation dedicated to the promotion of small scale industries, organised a two-day State conference and B2B meet of women entrepreneurs. Over 1,000 women entrepreneurs from across the State participated in the meet. Organised under the theme ‘Women Entrepreneurship and Empowering Women in the Path of Inclusive Growth and Development’ the prime objective of the Conference was to synergise opportunities for women entrepreneurs. The Conference mainly focused on engineering, IT, food processing, textiles and handicrafts.
Addressing the women entrepreneurs Union Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said small and medium enterprises form the backbone of our economy. It is therefore very important to strengthen the SMEs by providing them financial assistance and support. She called upon the Bharatiya banks to understand the needs of SMEs. She acknowledged the role of LUB in facilitating the growth of SMEs. Chief General Manager of State Bank of India Rajni Mishra, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner (MSME) Shri Surendranath Tripathi, national president of LUB Shri Om Prakash Mittal, LUB president of Karnataka Shri KS Sharma also spoke on the occasion.

Demonstration by Anganwadi workers in Jaipur
Jaipur: Thousands of Anganwadi workers, Asha workers and Gram Sathins, under the banner of Rajasthan Anganwadi Karmachari Mahasangh, staged a protest rally on March 18. The rally began from BMS office at Patel Colony and passing through Sahakar Bhavan Crossing reached Vidhan Sabha Bhavan where a demonstration was staged. Registering their protest at the negative attitude of the State government on their demands, they submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister. Addressing the rally State general secretary of the Mahasangh Radha Sharma said despite engaging the workers full time they are not being paid even the minimum wages. She said the Anganwadi workers should be declared government employees. BMS general secretary Shri Dinanath Ruthla said the Central and State governments have declared to provide social security to the workers in unorganised sectors, but nothing concrete has been done so far. He said the workers are being exploited in the name of honorarium. He said until the workers are declared government employees, they should be paid at least Rs 15,000 per month.
Tribute to Prof N Rajasekharan
Chengannoor: RSS Sabarigiri Vibhag Sanghachalak Prof N Rajashekharan Nair passed away following prolonged cardiac ailments for which he was undergoing treatment since two years. He was 69. He is survived by his wife R Radhamma, who has retd as a High School teacher, daughters Parvati and Maithreyi and sons-in-law Shambhu who is Prof at the Amrita Engineering College and Sujith Gopinath. In his tribute Sahaprant Karyavah Shri M Radhakrishnan said Prof Rajashekharan’s life is always worthy of being emulated. “He had an inborn gift of expressing matters of high gravity in the simplest terms. His demise is a major loss for all spheres of life,” he said.
Prof Rajashekharan had shouldered the responsibilities of Sanghachalak of Sabarigiri Vibhag, from the time of its inception in 1989. Prior to this, he was RSS Chenganoor Taluk Karyavah, Alappuzha Zilla Bauddhik Pramukh, Kottayam Vibhag Karyavah, etc. He served as Physics professor at NSS Colleges in Pandalam, Vazhoor, Changanassery. He was in jail for 14 months during the Emergency.
