Readers’ Forum : Disgraceful conduct

(Detoxifying JNU, February 28); Students of Jawaharlal Nehru University were celebrating the bail, granted by the Delhi High Court, to their role model and student’s union president Kanhaiya Kumar. These students in general, and the Afzal Guru gang in particular should not be ecstatic as the bail is not only interim and conditional, but also carries some caveats. One of such caveats is that Kumar has been ordered to stay away from anti-national activities and must ensure that no seditious activity takes place in the campus. The concerned judge has rightly lambasted such students who enjoy the liberty of raising anti-national slogans and celebrating the martyrdom of the Parliament attack mastermind Afzal Guru, without realising that they are safe only because of our security forces who are constantly guarding our borders. If the released student has even an iota of shame over his misadventure he should resign from the president ship of the student’s union. But we know that this will not happen because he is getting full support from the Leftist and the Congress who are expert in creating chaos in Bharat.

Kiran Devi

(Kiran Devi gave second life to Akbar, Feburary 7);This refers to the article‘ Kiran Devi gave second life to Akbar’ by Aniket Raja in the Kid’s Org. page. I have also heard this story a number of times fro the preachers of Arya Samaj, in my childhood. Now this Akbar is adulated as Akbar the Great as symbol of secularism by anti – Hindu so-called secular brigade of Gandhi and Nehru. It is quite natural , because Akbar indulged in sinful sex to satisfy his carnal desires, and therefore an ideal for Gandhi  and Nehru. In our Hindu culture such persons are never considered great. Hindu women should take inspiration from the bravery of Rani Kiran Devi and deal squarely with modern Akbars.

Check the spread of virus

No doubt Freedom of Speech is a Fundamental Right guaranteed by the Indian Constitution to all its citizens, but we need to draw a line . There is no doubt that youths who are tomorrow’s future and also the backbone of our country have got the full right to express their opinion and views, but with the growing radicalisation of Indian universities this is becoming a sing of worry. Propagating and acting to break a country is not allowed under any democracy. This Jihadi virus must be checked at any cost before it swallows its victim.

Balanced Budget

(Ideally Realistic, March 13);Finance Shri Arun Jaitley should be credited for not indulging in an ill-advised fiscal adventure. Rural and infrastructure push are the two words emphasised in the Budget 2016-17. The focus on agriculture will help the government revive rural economy. More so, after two successive years of poor monsoon that has led to stress among the farmer, Mr Jaitley has done well to maintain the fiscal deficit target at 3.9 per cent for this year and honour the 3.5 per cent figure for the next fiscal.

 Mission: Defame Modi Government

(Damning Designs, March 13); The Congress-led UPA government’s top ministers were out to de-link Ishrat’s links with terror in order to demean the then Gujarat Government headed by Shri Narendra Modi. The filing of a second affidavit overruling the first one in the Ishrat Jahan encounter case was an attempt on part of the P Chidambaram to please a section of the society and defame Shri Narendra Modi. This shows the mind set of the Congress leaders who can also manipulate the death of a Dalit student Rohit Vemula at the Hyderabad University or support ant-national incidents at the Jawaharla University to discredit the Modi Government by hook or crook.

Male chauvinism is still alive

(Imprints of Change, March 13);The Women’s Reservation Bill which seeks to reserve 33 per cent of the seats for women in the Parliament and State Legislature has been gathering dust in the absence of a consensus between the political parties.Actually male chauvinism is still alive and rampant in our society. Men merely talk about women empowerment for the sake of it.The real strength of women lies in their being educated. As is commomly said “If you educate a man you educate an individual, however , if you educate a woman, you educate the whole society.” Women empowerment means means Mother India empowerment. Right now women constitute only 12 per cent of the Parliamentarians and nine per cent of the State Legislators in India, while they make up for 47 per cent of the national electorate. These figures need to be improved.

End Logjam

The success of the Make in India campaign hinges not only on an active campaign to attract foreign investment for our manufacturing sector, along with the implementation of various policies, but also on the passage of key legislations which includes the Goods and Services Tax Bill.

Immature mind

Watching Rahul Gandhi ‘s speech in the House on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address, on TV news channels, I marvelled at his naiveté in attacking his chief adversary in a crude and juvenile manner , which did no credit to the grand old party, once led by Jawaharlal Nehru and which position he is trying to occupy. The Congress has already become a rump , down to 44 MP’s in the 2014 elections, from over 400 MP’s during Rajiv Gandhi’s prime ministership .Mr Jaitley has rightly noted that despite his entry into the middle age Rahul Gandhi does not seem to have evolved as a mature  knowledgeable politician.

Opposition uses students to tarnish Modi

It is increasingly being evident that student’s union president Kanhaiya Kumar has suddenly emerged as a national hero. The so-called liberals and the so-called secular section of the media is primarily responsible for this ominous development. This seemingly aggressive student leader was so frightened of mob-lynching for his anti-India action that Delhi Police had to make elaborate arrangements for his security when he was being taken to the Patiala House Court in Delhi. However after his conditional release on an interim bail and his safe return to his campus Kanhaiya Kumar promptly resumed his rabble-rousing oratory, screaming anti-India and azadi slogans mocking Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Demand for Cow Ministry

It is heartening to know that out of 545 MPs in the Parliament 432 have given consent for ‘Total Cow Protection’ in the country, and out of which 20 MPs belong to Cong-I, which is a matter of rejoice to us. But at the same time, we are disappointed to learn that, when one of the cow-activitist from Odisha named Tirtha Sahu asked  BJP President, that when the orders will get implemented, he told him that there is a need for people to agitate for the same. We wish to ask, what is the need of an agitation for it? Does the NDA-2 government have forgotten their election promises? Right from day Bharat got Independence our cow activists have been raising voice against beef  eating and cow protection. In fact the whole world knows about this. In such a situation what is the need of a fresh agitation? We appeal to the NDA-II government not to waste any more time, but to expedite the process of ‘Total Cow Protection’ and make ‘Cow Ministry’ in our country to save our cow wealth.
