The Vishwa Sangh Shivir-2015 concluded at Amrold Heights in Indore on January 2, 2016. About 750 delegates from 45 countries underwent organisational training for five days. The participants also included 240 women and 75 children between the age group of 5-15. Separate activities had been planned for them. However some sessions were conducted together.
Apart from the RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi, Sahsarkaryavahs Shri Dattatreya Hosabale and Shri V Bhagaiah, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Dr Manmohan Vaidya, VHP general secretary Shri Champat Rai, Shri Atul Jog from Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Shri Sunil Ambekar from Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Sardar Gurcharan Singh Gill from Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, BJP president Shri Amit Shah and BJP general secretary (organisation) Shri Ramlal also interacted with the Shivir participants. After the camp got over all the participants went on pilgrimage at different places like Ayodhya, Haridwar, etc. Some also visited the sewa projects being conducted in the country by different voluntary organisations. Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi, Rashtra Sevika Samiti Pramukh Sanchalika Shantakka Tai and former chief of Punjab Police Shri PC Dogra also shared the dais at the concluding ceremony. The Shivir had begun on December 29.
Noted scientist and former ISRO chief Shri G Madhvan Nair was chief guest at the concluding ceremony. He applauded the active role being played by the Bharateeyas living abroad. He said apart from the Bharateeya values of life the Ayurveda and Yoga have also immensely impressed the entire world. In space and nuclear energy development also Bharat is a big power now. He stressed the need that Bharat must milk the science and technology more for development of agriculture and rural areas. At the same time he underlined the need to curb rising costs of medical treatment in the country.
RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat described the Hindus living abroad as cultural ambassadors of Hindu culture. “Hindus residing abroad are in reality the ambassadors of Hindu culture. Their presence is the key to disseminating Bharateeya culture. In different countries, the RSS swayamsevaks are trying to familiarise people with the Bharateeya culture after forming organisations as per the rules and regulations of those nations.”
Indirectly raising the issue of terrorism, Shri Bhagwat said the world is passing through a tragic phase and every country is endeavouring alleviation. “However, it is being observed that efforts at tackling the tragedy are actually aggravating it. The right solution is harmony and from time to time, Bharat has shown the path to the rest of the world,” he said. He asked the camp participants to help solve the problems of the countries they are living in on the basis of ancient Bharateeya values and wisdom. “We want people to lead a life in a manner that can convince others about the significance of ancient Bharateeya wisdom, knowledge and values,” he added. He said the Sangh work is expanding world over. The swayamsevkas are working through the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) in different countries. Many other organisations of Bharat are also working in their capacity across the world. They do not work for publicity but for welfare of the humanity, he added.    n
