Intro : Janjati Dharma Sanskriti Suraksha Manch seeks PM intervention in resolving the problems being created by the Church in construction of Rani Maa Museum and Library in Kohima and also
installation of her metal statute.

Janjati Dharma Sanskriti Suraksha Manch drew the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards the obstructions being created by Church people in construction of Rani Gaidinliu Museum and Library in Kohima and installation of her metal statue. In a memorandum dated September 26, the Manch president Jaleswar Brahma and general secretary Renomoh Sungo urged the Prime Minister to take effective steps for completion of the Museum and Library and also the statue. They also urged the PM to provide necessary safeguard to the Heraka community from the excesses of terrorist elements and Church activists.
In the memorandum the Manch said the Church has been dead against Haipou Jadonang, Rani Gaidinliu and Heraka faith. The missionaries condemned it as pagan, heathen and satanic practices. The Church also converted majority of Nagas at gun point in league with secessionist Naga organisations. Those who opposed were gunned down.
“Rani Gaidinliu Museum and Library is being constructed in front of the New Secretariat in Kohima and almost 90 per cent construction is over. The electric wiring, sanitary fittings, water tank installation and white-washing, etc are left. But Nagaland Baptist Council of Churches (NBCC) and Church sponsored NGOs joined with power hungry politicians are opposing the construction of the museum on the plea that Rani Gaidinliu was not a Christian and she was pro-Bharat. It is alleged that the Naga Christian missionaries and Church activists are on pay-roll of foreign missions to spy against Bharatiya security forces and Central agencies.
These Christian missionaries pass on the information of military movement to Naga terrorist organisations and help them in launching ambushes on Army convoys. These Christian missionaries and Church leaders are enemy of Naga eternal religion and native colorful culture. They act as political agents of western Christian countries. Taking undue advantage of secular character of Bharat’s Constitution, Naga missionaries are getting huge foreign fund in the name of social service but it is very often reported in media and also by Intelligence agencies that this is used by Church in promoting insurgency in Nagaland and surrounding areas. This is the reason that the Church is banned in Communist and Muslim countries. The Church and terrorism in Nagaland are two sides of same coin. Today, NSCN(IM), NSCN(K), NNC and hostile political leaders have declared “Nagaland for Christ” where no other religion except Christianity is allowed to stay. This is the reason that Christian Talibans are after the followers of Rani Maa. The Church has initiated a big character assassination campaign against Rani Maa on ground and in media. Many people in Nagaland say that Church is funding some people to write against Rani Maa. They allege that she was opposed to Phizo and his NNC. It appears that patriotism is a crime in the eyes of NBCC and a section of top-ranking Naga politicians are working as the overground wing of underground,” the memorandum said.
A memorial stone of Phizo stands just in front of same New Secretariat. Several statues of St. Thomas, St. Francis, St. Xavier, St. Paul, Don Bosco, Mother Teresa, Mary and Jesus Christ also stand at different prominent places throughout Nagaland. Nobody has any objection to such dominance of Church. But the stone statue of Mahatma Gandhi was beheaded soon after it was inaugurated in 1984 by S.C. Jamir, then Chief Minister of Nagaland. A paper chit was found there with a note, “No Indian leader is welcome in Nagaland”. Church was said behind this criminal act. Again, Church does not consider Rani Gaidinliu as a native Naga of Nagaland only because she was not a Christian Naga and she was also not an anti-Bharateeya Naga. She was the icon of nationalist Nagas. This is her crime in the perception of NBCC, Church sponsored NGOs and foreign funded power hungry Naga politicians.     —Jagdamba Mall
