News Round-up : Saints demand special bench in SC for Ram Mandir issue

Senior saints attending the meeting of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust at Maniram Das Chhavani in Ayodhya on June 16 demanded creation of a special bench in the Supreme Court to decide the matter of Sri Ramjanmbhoomi. They said the entire Hindu society wants to see a grand temple at the site, at the earliest. The meeting was presided over by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevananda Saraswati. Other saints who attended the meeting included president of Sri Ramjanma-bhoomi Trust Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, general secretary Shri Ashok Singhal, Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Purushottamacharya, Mahant Shri Suresh Das, Mahant Shri Dharmadas, Dr Ramvilas Das Vedanti, Mahamandaleshwar Santoshi Mata, Mahant Shri Kamalnayan Das, VHP general secretary Shri Champat Rai, general secretary (organisation) Shri Dinesh Chandra, vice president Shri Jeeveshwar Mishra, etc.
Addressing the mediapersons after the meeting Shri Ashok Singhal said the Trust and the saints have always expected the Muslims to contribute in maintaining peace in the country. It is possible only when they withdraw their claims from the temples of Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi. He said they are not against development but it should not be at the cost of the places of reverence. He further said about one lakh sq. feet stones have been carved for the proposed temple.     n


Summer Olympic by Kreeda Bharati

Awadh Prant unit of Kreeda Bharati organised a 15 day Summer Olympic at Subhas Chandra Bose Post Graduate College. Speaking at the concluding function Union Minister of State for Sports Sarvanand Soneval said such events help in discovering the sports talent. RSS Prant Pracharak Shri Sanjay said such events provide a platform to the rural youth to display their talent at national and world level. Presiding over the concluding ceremony former Cricketer Shri Chetan Chauhan and national president of Kreeda Bharati said the sportspersons play for the nation. The prominent competitions held during the Summer Olympic include Group Suryanamaskar, football, volleyball, Kabaddi, cricket and Kho-Kho, etc. Shri Avaneesh Kumar Singh, Awadh Prant president of Kreeda Bharati presented mementos to the guests. Prant Sanghachalak Shri Prabhunarayan, Sah Prant Karyavah Shri Narendra were also present.    n


Tribute to Rakesh Kumar and Bhikhsingh Bhati

The late Rakesh Kumar and the late Bhikhsingh Bhati, the two senior workers of Seemajan Kalyan Samiti who died in a road accident on June 12, 2014, were paid rich tribute on their first death anniversary in Jaisalmer. Apart from the activists of Seemjan Kalyan Samiti, local people in large number paid floral tribute at the memorial created near Sodhakor Village. The memorial has been built at the place where the accident had taken place. Addressing the gathering on the occasion RSS Prant Pracharak Shri Murlidhar said a sewa project should begin at the memorial, which play a key role in transforming the society. He also expressed gratitude to the family of Shri Devisingh who has donated one bigha land for the memorial. The Samiti also organised a Bhajan Sandhya at the Hanuman Crossing of Jaisalmer as a tribute to the late Rakesh Kumar and the late Bhikhsingh Bhati. Noted singer Shri Prakash Mali of Balotara thrilled the audience with patriotic songs.    n


Don’t leave everything at the will of God — Mohan Bhagwat

RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat questioned the double standards that most of the people follow in daily life. He said even if the schools impart quality education, it will not work if the students do not get equally healthy atmosphere at home. “People send their wards to Vidya Bharati schools for receiving good samskars, but at home they print the wedding cards in English. This will not work. Society has to contribute actively if we want to impart quality education to the children,” he said while speaking at a function in Mathura on June 14 after inaugurating an auditorium at Shrijee Baba Saraswati Vidya Mandir.
Shri Bhagwat said earlier the people used to leave everything on the God, but now they leave everything on the government. Instead of following this mentality we need to come forward to resolve our problems ourselves. Earlier, Union Minister of State for Tourism Dr Mahesh Sharma applauded the work of Vidya Bharati. Shri Brahmdev Sharma ‘Bhaiji’ said there are many places where the governments have failed to make arrangements for education, but the Vidya Bharati has reached those places too. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Union Minister of State for HRD Shri Ramshankar Katheria, MP Shri Babulal, Kshetra Pracharak Shri Alokji, Kshetra Sanghachalak Shri Darshanlalji and Chancellor of GLA University Shri Narayan Das Agrawal. Shri Bhagwat reached Mathura on June 10 for Second year Sangh Shiksha Varga. A total of 340 swayamsevaks from Uttarakhand, Meerut and Brij Prant underwent training at the Varga.      — Mukesh Goswami


Betterment of the last person of society is our goal — Ashok Beri

Delhi Prant first year Sangh Shiksha Varga concluded on June 14. A total of 295 swayamsevaks below the age of 40 years underwent training at the Varga organised from May 24 to June 14 at Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee  Higher Secondary School in Dilshad Garden, East Delhi.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony the RSS National Executive Member Shri Ashok Beri said the prime goal of the RSS is complete development of the the society to its last person, not just in spirit but also in action. He stressed on respecting the ancient social values. Prominent among the Sangh Adhikaris who guided the swayamsevaks during the Varga included Sah Sarkaryavah Shri Bhagaiyaji, Kshetra Pracharak Shri Prem Kumar, Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt, Kshetra Pracharak Pramukh Shri Rameshwarji. Shri Deepak Mohan Sapolia, former Chief Secretary of Government of NCT of Delhi was the chief guest. Delhi Prant Sanghachalak Shri Kulbhushan Ahuja and Vargadhikari Shri Ravindraji were
also present.  

Swayamsevaks clean the premises of historic Virupakshi Temple

RSS swayamsevaks cleaned the premises of ancient Virupakshi Temple and the Temple Lake at Mulabagilu in Kolar district of Karnataka on June 14. About 100 swayamsevaks and well-wishers, including women, joined the campaign.
