Senior saints attending the meeting of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust at Maniram Das Chhavani in Ayodhya on June 16 demanded creation of a special bench in the Supreme Court to decide the matter of Sri Ramjanmbhoomi. They said the entire Hindu society wants to see a grand temple at the site, at the earliest. The meeting was presided over by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevananda Saraswati. Other saints who attended the meeting included president of Sri Ramjanma-bhoomi Trust Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, general secretary Shri Ashok Singhal, Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Purushottamacharya, Mahant Shri Suresh Das, Mahant Shri Dharmadas, Dr Ramvilas Das Vedanti, Mahamandaleshwar Santoshi Mata, Mahant Shri Kamalnayan Das, VHP general secretary Shri Champat Rai, general secretary (organisation) Shri Dinesh Chandra, vice president Shri Jeeveshwar Mishra, etc.
Addressing the mediapersons after the meeting Shri Ashok Singhal said the Trust and the saints have always expected the Muslims to contribute in maintaining peace in the country. It is possible only when they withdraw their claims from the temples of Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi. He said they are not against development but it should not be at the cost of the places of reverence. He further said about one lakh sq. feet stones have been carved for the proposed temple. n
Shri Bhagwat said earlier the people used to leave everything on the God, but now they leave everything on the government. Instead of following this mentality we need to come forward to resolve our problems ourselves. Earlier, Union Minister of State for Tourism Dr Mahesh Sharma applauded the work of Vidya Bharati. Shri Brahmdev Sharma ‘Bhaiji’ said there are many places where the governments have failed to make arrangements for education, but the Vidya Bharati has reached those places too. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Union Minister of State for HRD Shri Ramshankar Katheria, MP Shri Babulal, Kshetra Pracharak Shri Alokji, Kshetra Sanghachalak Shri Darshanlalji and Chancellor of GLA University Shri Narayan Das Agrawal. Shri Bhagwat reached Mathura on June 10 for Second year Sangh Shiksha Varga. A total of 340 swayamsevaks from Uttarakhand, Meerut and Brij Prant underwent training at the Varga. — Mukesh Goswami
Speaking at the concluding ceremony the RSS National Executive Member Shri Ashok Beri said the prime goal of the RSS is complete development of the the society to its last person, not just in spirit but also in action. He stressed on respecting the ancient social values. Prominent among the Sangh Adhikaris who guided the swayamsevaks during the Varga included Sah Sarkaryavah Shri Bhagaiyaji, Kshetra Pracharak Shri Prem Kumar, Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt, Kshetra Pracharak Pramukh Shri Rameshwarji. Shri Deepak Mohan Sapolia, former Chief Secretary of Government of NCT of Delhi was the chief guest. Delhi Prant Sanghachalak Shri Kulbhushan Ahuja and Vargadhikari Shri Ravindraji were
also present.
