Readeers' Forum: Economics of Cow
(Organiser,12.4.2015); Dr Bharat Jhunjhunwala has mentioned many good things about cow in his article titled ‘Economics of Cow’ in Organiser. Gandhi has been quoted, saying that , “ I hold the question of cow slaughter is of great moment—in certain respect of even greater moment—than that of swaraj. Cow slaughter and man slaughter are two sides of the same coin.”All this was only to befool faithful Hindus . The biggest question is , that why Gandhi opposed ban on cow slaughter after Independence, when he received lakhs of letters and telegrams for ban. Recently Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal persuaded a well to do farmer to do drama of suicide in his rally at Delhi, for his political gains and to make farming community his follower. That drama resulted in the death of the farmer. Similarly, Gandhi went on enacting drama of Hindu – Muslim unity and freedom, resulting in slaughter of millions of Hindus and Sikhs in 1947, but nobody dares to tell the truth about Gandhi. Nobody cared to listen to the sane advise of Dr Ambedkar which he gave in detail in his book Pakistan or The Partition of India, to accept Pakistan with complete exchange of population. Had we accepted the advise of Dr Ambedkar all our problems, including that of cow slaughter would have vanished in 1947 itself.

Pragati Initiative
In the first of its kind of video interaction in the ‘ Pragati Initiative’ attended by the Chief Secretaries — the Chief Secretary of Bihar claimed that the pending work on a bridge on the river Ganga is nearly complete. The moment he said this he was stumped by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi who uploaded pictures that showed the bridge was a still long way from being ready. How can there be trust and progress if false reports at the level of Chief Secretaries is presented before the Prime Minister?

Good Schemes
Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s taunt at the schemes introduced by the Narendra Modi Government for the benefit of the poor and the middle class reflects his puerile state of mind. The Modi government has given a befitting rejoinder to the Congress by announcing three major schemes . The pension and insurance schemes have been launched to address the three critical needs of the people: Accident insurance, life insurance and pension. Generally the underprivileged sections of the society do not have access to these basic securities, unlike what is there in western countries. The good thing is that the premium to be paid is nominal and affordable. Yes it is still unclear as to how the government will fund the projects as it will require huge subsidy. Hopefully it will get clear in the coming days. The government needs to learn from the last regime’s failed efforts to push insurance and pension benefits to the people, so that this time around the schemes are a success. The schemes will prove a deterrent to the business of those money lenders who thrive on the helplessness of the impoverished and will minimise suicides among the poor.

Positive Impact of RSS on NDA Govt.
(Organiser, 31.5.2015); This refers to the article titled ‘Positive Impact of RSS on NDA Govt.’ in Organiser by Sandeep Singh. Allegations that the Rashtra Swayamsevak Sangh ( RSS ) is pressuring the BJP on governance issues are aimed at dividing the NDA and the RSS. Vested interest are scared of the many RSS workers who can reach every village to spread the spirit of nationalism. The RSS has the right to ask questions , give suggestions and offer its services. Quake hit Nepal has been immensely thankful to the RSS and so have been the people of Andhra Pradesh , Odisha and Gujarat, who have been served by the Sangh parviar in troubled times.
