Congress and CPM have no political future in Kerala. The people are all set to dump both and join the BJP bandwagon, as it is the party of the future.
Addressing a massive public meeting of the BJP at Fort Maidan in Palakkad on December 19, National President of the party, Amit Shah said that the Congress and CPM have no political future. He called upon the people of Kerala to dump both and join the BJP bandwagon, as it the party of the future.
“Rahul Gandhi born with a silver spoon does not know or understand India, but Modi, son of tea-vendor knows the hunger of the ‘aam aadmi’. Through the ‘Make in India’ campaign, 3,000 MNCS have expressed interest in setting up manufacturing hubs in India. Unemployment can be curbed through ‘Make in India and Skill Development’. Through the PM’s Jan Dhan Yojana crores have opened account with ‘0’ balance. In the last six months petroleum prices have come down 10 times making families save upto Rs1,500 per month. The growth rate has shot up from 4 to 5.7%. The 7% inflation has come down to 0%. While BJP ruled stated are growing at 10%, Kerala is lagging behind at 7.6%,” he said.
Earlier addressing the State office – bearers, he pulled them up for the sluggish and letharghic membership drive. Kerala is the backmost in membership drive with only 5 lakh members enrolled. He set a target of 35 lakh. He asked all BJP cadres to enroll 100 members each and also make the 30,000 booths live and effective. He said, out of the 70 lakh families in Kerala, 35 lakh families should be contacted. He asked all district and State office bearers to be full-timers till March 31. He said he will review progress periodically.
Addressing the media at Kochi, he called upon the secular parties to support legislation for banning forced conversations. He also stated that the Prime Minister has taken up the issue of Black Money stashed in foreign banks in global forums and is resolute on bringing this money back.
Ban Force Conversions
30 members of 8 Dalit Christian Cheramar community returned to the Hindu fold after ‘Sudhikalasam’, recitation of Gayatri Mantra and ‘Vastradhan’ at Cheppad in Alapuzha district on December 21. VHP said these eight families had rejoined Hinduism six months ago at Durga Temple at Cheetikulangara and the recent function was only a formal one. Also at Edamulackal at Anchal in Kollam district, three women of a family came back to Hinduism.
VHP State Organising Secretary MC Valsanan said GHAR WAPSI was going on regularly in Kerala and said, shortly 40 families in Kottayam District will return to Hindu dharma. He hit out at the CPM for demanding ban on reconversions. “The CPM which didn’t open its month when lakhs of Hindus were converted under global agenda using global funds or when hundreds of poor Hindu girls were lured by ‘Love Jehad’ is now attacking us, since sand is slipping out from under their feet. The next conversion, the nation, is going to witness, is Kerala converting from communism to nationalism,” he thundered.
Bar Diluted to Save Congress
The much touted bar closure move has been cold-storaged and diluted to save Mani and the Congress led UDF regime. The revised bar policy aimed at helping bar owners, saves Mani’s head from being chopped at the 1 crore bribery chopping block. Under the new policy the 450 odd closed bars have been allowed to function as beer/wine, parlours. Already another 350 bars are functioning, full style, due to weak government argument at High Court. Permission has also been given for five star hotels and heritage hotels to operate bars. The dry day proclaimed for Sunday has been withdrawn.
Nett result is that to save Mani at the vigilance and anti-corruption probe and save his chair, Oommen Chandy has thrown ideologies to the wind. But the clown in the pack is PCC President VM Sudheeran who did a ‘Yatra’ from North to South of Kerala advocating ‘Prohibition’. He has become the object of ridicule for Congressmen, Media and the public. Oommen Chandy is also plotting to remove him from PCC presidentship.
Maoist Attack
In the early hours of Monday the 22nd, Maoists attacked two offices of the Forest Department set fire to all documents and jeeps parked outside. The attacks were in Wynadu and Palakkad Districts which have substantial vanavasi population. Also outlets of KFC and Mc Donalds were destroyed in Palakkad. With the ruling Congress immersed in discussions, on bar, for over nine months, having no time to solve Kerala’s issues, Maoists have stepped up their activity.
