Veiled? Secularism?

Intro: There is a series of attacks on RSS, BJP and other Hindu leaders in six states. But the secularists, who routinely waste not a single day to defend the terrorists and
anti-nationals when they kill the innocent people, have gone into the mute mode.
?

Even before the results of 2014 General Elections were announced, there were talks of ‘communal polarisation’ and persecution of so-called minority communities. A stray incident of violence against a Muslim youth as a reaction to denigrating facebook post of Chhatrapati Shivaji and Shiv Sena founder the Late Balasaheb Thackeray gave a chance to try out another ‘secular’ mongering against the Modi government. At the same time 4 leaders of BJP got killed in UP in 2 weeks span. Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar through his tweet termed this as ‘a systematic attempt to instigate violence’. UP is not an exception. West Bengal has been seeing series of violence against the BJP workers. In Tamil Nadu anti-Hindu violent acts are becoming common. Kerala has been witnessing the same trend. Not only the acts of senseless murders of RSS and Hindu Munnani leaders but killing ‘secular silence’ is more disturbing. Organiser takes a reviews of these incidents.?

Any use of violence is a crime in democratic nation. One form of violence cannot be just a crime when another is considered as a communal violence, especially when the modus operandi and motives behind the violence are same. It is really unfortunate that when a Muslim youth, Mohsin Sadiq Shaikh, was killed in Pune allegedly by a diminutive group called Hindu Rashtra Sena, was considered as instigation of communal polarisation. Despite the stern action and directives by the Ministry of Home Affairs, a vocal campaign was led by people like Ram Puniyani who argued that “while there is lots of hope from this government by sections of society, there are other types of fears which have started getting actualised and the consequences of that are being felt with great amount of horror” on his blog ‘Communalism Watch’ titled Hate Crimes and Communal Polarization – Murder of Techie in Pune dated June 16, 2014. At the same time, from the time of resurgence of nationalist forces on the political scene, many RSS swayamsevaks and BJP activists are getting killed in states ranging from Tamil Nadu to Uttar Pradesh. These heinous political murders with tacit communal intentions are treated just as a crime or dubbed as personal/political rivalry. A report on various cases of murders of nationalist workers shows that there is a desperate attempt to vitiate atmosphere by racking up communal tensions and attacking the Modi government after the decisive drubbing in Lok Sabha elections and complete failure of the pseudo-secular politics. It is the Veil of Secularism that forces these ‘left-liberal-socialist-seculars’ to differentiate one murder as communal, while other as ‘criminal’. ?

Lopsided view of law and order in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu is the worst hit in violence against RSS, BJP and Hindu leaders. The anger against Ramanathpuram incident was not over, a senior Hindu Munnani worker, KP Suresh, was killed in Thiruvallur district on the night of June 18. It added fuel to fire and the people came out in the streets in protest against the ruling AIADMK government. They are asking as to why the state government is helpless before the killers?
According to reports, an unidentified gang of three suddenly attacked KP Suresh causing serious injuries to his face, neck and body on June 18. Hearing the shocking news, hundreds of Hindu activists staged “Road Roko” demanding stern action against the culprits. “It is not even a year passed on the murder of Vellaiyappan. The release of Hyder Ali, (on June 17) a terrorist wanted in various cases including the bomb blast of RSS Office Chennai, shows the soft dealing view with terrorists and Tamil Nadu is now a peaceful haven for terrorists,” Hindu Munnani leader Ramagopalan said in a statement on June 19. He appealed to the Chief Minister to directly oversee the cases pertaining to the killings and ensure that the miscreants are brought under law. Hindu Munnani and other organisations called for a protest demonstration throughout the State on June 19.
The incident of Ramanathapuram on June 14 shocked all nationalists when 400 state and district level RSS workers were arrested at Devipattinam when they were playing in the beach which is totally outside the town. The RSS was conducting its annual State level meeting in a private management school situated near the beach, and games followed by a prayer in the evening is a routine as per their time table.
The arrested RSS leaders were, however, released within three hours after agitation broke out throughout Tamil Nadu. Agitation took place spontaneously on hearing the news, at more than 12 districts of Tamil Nadu. Intervention from Central Home Ministry and State DGP office unnerved the local district administration. Among the arrested were All India Executive Member Shri Sethu Madhavanji, Kshetra Karyavah Shri S Rajendranji, Kshetra Pracharak Shri Stanumalayanji, Kshetra Sewa Pramuk Shri Padmakumarji, etc.
The arrest was carried out by DSP Annamalai Alwar, even though the RSS leaders agreed to disburse after a three minutes peaceful prayer, Annamalai Alwar was more specific in getting them arrested than to allow them to go back. No police procedure in disbursing a crowd or arresting them was followed by the officials. Those who got arrested were simply wondering under which Act they have been arrested and why it was not told to them. As per latest information received, Prant Sanghachalak Shri RVS Marimuthu, Prant Karyavah Adalarasan and 231 karyakartas were booked under various sections by the Police just for attending the Prant Baithak.
When the conditions prevailing at the beach did not warrant arrest, why Annamalai Alwar was specific in arresting them is the million dollar question. What was the intention behind the arrest? If an arrest order was issued to him who gave that order? It could be easily assumed that Annamalai Alwar had gone berserk once the RSS behaved gently without protesting and started disbursing calmly make him think how could an arrest be made to please the higher authorities?
Needle of suspicion points towards the District SP Mayil Vahanan and District Collector Nandakumar whose past record clearly shows that they both always indulged in anti-Hindu activities.
All the same, Hindu leaders have been the constant targets of jihadis in Tamil Nadu. Scores of lives have been lost in bomb blasts and attacks. Consider the murderous attack on Jana Krishnamurthy in 1984; and the murder of Auditor Ramesh in Salem in 2013; the 1993 bomb blasts on RSS Karyalaya Chennai and other incidents. All of this shows the deep rooted terrorism and relentless jihad against Hindu leaders. Neither regional nor national variants of secular voices have time to analyse this violence against nationalist forces. ?

Delhi : Attack on RSS shakha

The RSS and BJP activists are not safe even in the national capital Delhi. Since elections there are three incidents of attacks on the Sangh Shakhas. Some goons attacked an RSS Shakha at Rani Garden locality of Geeta Colony on June 7. According to reports, an evening shakha was going on in Rani Garden. Some anti-social elements attacked the shakha. Since the number of the swayamsevaks was less, they dominated over them. They stoned at the swayamsevaks and also manhandled them. Some swayamsevaks received injuries in that attack. When the swayamsevaks approached the police, they did not act. Rather they misbehaved with them, which agitated the local people and they started reaching the police station. In a short duration hundreds of people gathered outside the police station. The protestors alleged that the police did not took any action against the attackers. ?

West Bengal : Didi follows the
Left way

West Bengal is experiencing a worst type of autocratic activities in certain pockets of the State. Everywhere the ruling party rogues are initiating terror to intimidate the public. Since 2011, when the TMC government assumed power, at least 529 people have been killed as per government record. Mind you, this is not a government run by CPM led Left Front and record says that they are not even lagging behind in rape cases in the State. Labour unrest has increased and the killing of industrialists has put up a big question mark on progress of the State. People, who were wholeheartedly behind Didi, are now deserting her as she is apparently enjoying the killing spree of her own followers.

The recent Lok Sabha election results have revealed a peculiar chemistry of voters’ psychology. Firstly, the vote share of BJP jumped from 6 per cent to around 17 per cent and it did not stop there—it has been going on increasing in different areas for different reasons. And in certain areas it has been recorded a 25 per cent increase. Secondly, when Didi noticed that minorities communities living in bordering districts of the State are switching over to BJP en masse, this led to loosing of violence with her blessings.
Thirdly, she or for that matter her strongman Anubrata Mondal popularly known as ‘Keshto’ and his right hand man Jafarul Islam took over the stage when they saw that the residents of Kanur Village took out a victory march in support of Narendra Modi and BJP. Incidentally, Kanur is a village where not a single non-Muslim lives. RSP, a constituent of Left Front, was the dominant party. But in the last Lok Sabha elections, Trinamool Congress got 800 votes and BJP 12 votes out of 900 votes of Kanur booth. Fourthly, for all these, Mamata has reached zero-tolerance level. When the BJP team visited the State Mamata got irritated.
Though a minority dominated village, Kanur villagers, all BJP supporters, joined BJP after the 2014 Lok Sabha results, desperate for political shelter. Mojai Sheikh, a former RSP Gram Panchayat member and his followers led the defection. Naseeruddin Sheikh who too joined BJP from RSP said, “when Modi became Prime Minister we joined BJP, hoping that a powerful Centre can protect us from the State’s ruling party. “What can be more shameful than this that a woman has been widowed, just because her husband joined the BJP,” said Balbir Punj who led the BJP team to West Bengal to investigate the attacks.
Mamata is so furious over the victory of BJP that she did not send any condolence message for the sudden death of Gopinath Munde and Tapan Sikdar.?

Uttar Pradesh : Attacks to divert attention from failures

Why are the BJP and RSS leaders being targeted in the present chaotic situation of UP is a question worth pondering over. The BJP has formed government at the Centre with full-fledged majority and the BJP/RSS workers feel unsafe in the State of UP, which gave 73 seats to BJP in the Lok Sabha. Isn’t it because the assailants or political rivals find themselves safe in the prevailing situation when UP has become a safe harbour for criminals? Or is it because most of the assailants align with the rival ruling Samajwadi Party and thus are being protected by the government? Or is it because the ruling Samajwadi Party, which is basically a bunch of criminals only, is desperate because of the growing popularity of BJP in UP, despite the all out effort of Mulayam clan to restore its base by dolling out sops to Yadav community and appeasement of Muslims?
Whatever be the reason, the BJP leaders have become most vulnerable these days in UP. They are the soft targets of goondaism in the State. Unless some solid steps are taken by the Union Government, the situation is likely to worsen in future because the Samajwadi Party leaders are frustrated by the recent shameful defeat in the Lok Sabha elections and therefore they are encouraging their workers to resort to lawlessness and crime, which has always been their base of politics. It is a general perception that the recent attacks are being organised to divert the attention from the State government’s failures.
The recent case is of Rakesh Kumar Rastogi, who was found dead in his car under mysterious circumstances in Bareilly. He is third BJP leader to be killed in UP in a fortnight. This is the third casualty in a spate of attacks on party”s leaders in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, BJP leader Vijay Pandit was shot dead by criminals in Dadri area, while BJP leader Om Veer Singh from Muzaffarnagar was killed by the goons of his area.
BJP MP from Fatehpur, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and her supporters were attacked on June 14 in a function. Devendra Sharma, a BJP general secretary for Brij region was attacked on June 15 by an unidentified youth in Mathura District. The youth entered the leader”s house at 2 am and opened fire in which his mother, Susheela (63) was critically injured. Apart from these leaders, even the RSS workers too have been targeted. Puneet Singhal, an RSS worker was shot at in Bulandshahar. He is still in hospital and is recuperating.
UP BJP president Laxmikant Bajpai said that the State government has failed to curb crimes. He said there is flood of crimes in the State and the State government has lost control over the criminals.

RSS leader shot dead in MP

A local Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader was gunned down by an unidentified gunman on Agra-Mumbai Highway about two km from Thikri tehsil in Barwani district on June 12. Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh Kushwaha said Bhalchandra Gupta (40), who was an Ayurvedic doctor by profession, was going to his clinic on his motorcycle when the unknown assailant shot at his head and fled. Kushwaha died on the spot. A day after the killing two people were arrested at Thikri.

“Mechanics Sajid Mansoori and Momin were arrested in connection with the murder of RSS leader Bhalchandra Gupta (55). A countrymade gun, which was used in the crime, was also seized,” said Superintendent of Police.?

Bengaluru : RSS workers attacked for protesting cow slaughter

Nearly 15 RSS activists, other Hindu leaders and activists from Animal Protection Forum were injured in an unexpected attack at highly Muslim populated Islampur area near HAL in Bengaluru on the night of May 7. RSS Halasur Nagar Karyavah Anjaneyalu was seriously injured, his condition is critical. Strangely, everything happened in the presence of police.
At around 9 pm, on a specific information given by a brave techie girl Sherine about a vehicle carrying cows for slaughtering, RSS workers immediately came to action and stopped the vehicle with the help of local police. FIR was lodged at HAL police station. But few youth with the vehicle and associated with transport of cows escaped. To identify and catch them, Police team along with RSS swayamsevaks, the brave informer Sherine went to Islampur, a Muslim dominant area. On arrival of RSS team, nearly 350 goons attacked the RSS workers including police. RSS Swayamsevaks vehicles were damaged, set to fire, burnt. Police vehicle was also damaged.
The RSS workers Rahul Ramaswamy, Halasur Nagar Sahkaryavah Anjaneyulu, Krishna Hatwar, Sadashiva, BJP’s Prashanth and many others were seriously injured. Injured RSS activists were immediately hospitalised. RSS top functionaries Dr Giridhar Upadhyaya, Ramaswamy, Prakash Raju, Krishna Gunaga, Senior Police officers like Additional Commissioner Kamal Panth, DCP Harsha and few Media channels arrived at the spot. Next day the RSS, VHP activists staged a protest in front of the HAL Police Station demanding arrest of the culprits.

A recurring affair in Kerala!

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, since its very inception in Kerala in early forties, has always been under physical attack from one or another group or political combinations. Communists, Congressmen, Islamic forces, Christian forces, etc. do always find one reason or another to attack RSS men in the beginning and Sangh parivar workers in the later stage.
BJP, BMS, ABVP, VHP are always under attack along with RSS workers. There is a unique reason for this scenario: If other states do have the presence of one or two anti-RSS or anti-Hindutva forces in their territories, Kerala is the only state having all sects, organisations and parties belonging to the aforementioned categories simultaneously! RSS underwent severe attacks, ostracisation, outcast, etc. before it attained the present clout in Kerala. Here, Congress, communists and their coalition partners see Sangh associated organisations as common enemies, interestingly sans any rhyme or reason in most cases.
Naturally, hundreds of RSS and Sangh Parivar workers have lost their lives in bloody clashes and one sided attacks. Veliyathunadu Chandran, Pannannyoor Chandran, Jayakrishan Master, etc. are the most senior RSS-BJP workers killed in clashes. Master was killed in the class room, while he was teaching the students of Class 6!
Even though Congress and Christian forces do not have direct confrontation with Sangh Parivar these days, CPM and Islamic forces still are for its blood. Since the last couple of years CPM and Islamic forces have snatched the lives of several promising young Sangh Parivar workers. Vishal (19), Chengannur Nagar Pramukh of ABVP, was killed on July 16, 2012, by the workers of Campus Front, students’ wing of the Jihadi group, Popular Front India (PFI). Hardly two months after this brutal murder, Sachin Gopal, another dynamic RSS/ABVP worker was killed in Kannur on September 6, 2012. He was in his mid twenties. RSS workers believe that killers belong to the same group, Campus Front. Kannur, which has seen bloodbath after bloodbath since 1969, still does not go back to peace. CPM leaders are in a ‘fanatic’ killing spree against RSS in Kannur district. Vinod, a Shakha Karyavah of RSS in Payyannur was killed by communists on December 1, 2013. District has witnessed more than 55 CPM attacks on Sangh Parivar organisations since the LS election was declared. Houses of several Sangh Parivar men were demolished. In Parassala, Thiruvananthapuram district, several Sangh workers were attacked and several houses were demolished during 2013–2014.
In Palakkad, Rathish (23), an RSS Shakha Karyavah in Puthusserry was killed on December 1, 2013. Rathish came up from as a vibrant RSS worker from the midst of a Scheduled Caste community. Naturally, he invited the wrath of CPM satraps. They attacked Rathish when he was travelling in a bus along with 4–5 RSS colleagues. When they jumped from the bus to escape they were followed and hacked to death. Both arms of Gireesh were chopped during the attack. Other Sangh workers were seriously injured.
Three RSS workers were killed near Guruvayoor temple town, Thrissur district, by CPM and NDF (National Development Front, an extremist Muslim outfit) during the last three years. Sharon (23), Shakha Karyavah was killed on January 19, 2012. Vinod (30), Mandal Karyavah, mason by profession (2008) and Biju (28), auto driver (2008) are the other victims of CPM-Islamic fanatic combination in the same area. Lot of Muslim CPM men were working for NDF clandestinely throughout Kerala until recently. NDF used CPM as a camouflage and CPM used NDF as a tool to get RSS men attack. The honeymoon is now over since NDF started to gain ground in CPM bastions in Kannur, Vadakara and Kassergod. Kumarakam, the world famous tourist spot in Kottayam district, is the latest venue for the continuous CPM attacks on RSS men. Reason simple: Several senior CPM men joined RSS recently. But it does not mean that other districts are perfectly peaceful. Sporadic incidents and attacks are taking place everywhere, but not in high dimensions.
All seculars have been thriving on creation of fear psychosis among Muslims. After the failure of this strategy and inability to target Modi led NDA government on policy front, invoking communal-secular debate is still a favourite strategy for seculars. Victims are the grassroot workers of the nationalist forces. As Sri Sri Ravishakar in his tweet suggests all attempts to instigate communal violence ‘must be nipped right away’.
