RSS Third Year training camp begins in Nagpur

“Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has influenced the entire world due to its humane work and benevolent activities in the past nine decades. With the political transformation at the Centre, the global community has very well underscored the importance of Nagpur, the Gangotri of RSS. Each and every swayamsevak longs to visit this place once in his lifetime, because for him Nagpur is a pilgrimage centre,” said RSS Sahsarkaryavah Dr Krishna Gopal, while inaugurating RSS third year training camp on May 19 in Nagpur. The camp is specially designed to train the RSS cadres who have completed their previous two year training camps at their respective places and regions. Kashi Prant Sanghachalak and Sarvadhikari of the camp Shri Vishwanathlal Nigam, Malwa Prant Karyavah and camp Karyavah Dr Prakash Shastri and many other senior RSS office bearers were also present on the occasion.

Dr Krishna Gopal said the stream of volunteers trained here has spread the work of RSS in their respective regions in the country and even abroad bringing various cross sections of the society together under the Hindu identity. He said this happened to be the karma bhoomi of RSS founder Dr Hedgewar, and his successor Shri Guruji, who toiled hard and braved many adverse conditions to nurture the RSS in entire country and outside Bharat. It is for this very reason, Nagpur is considered as an important pilgrim centre for every swayamsevak. This is the place where the swayamsevaks are groomed to shoulder various responsibilities in the social life of the country and dedicate themselves in the man-making and nation-building mission of RSS, he said.

This year, 717 swayamsevaks in the age group of 18-40 have come for the 25-day training camp from all over the country. The camp will conclude on June 12 in presence of Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat. RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sharirik Pramukh Shri Anil Oak, his assistant Jagdish, Akhil Bharatiya Bauddhik Pramukh Shri Bhagayyaih, his assistant Shri Mahavir and others were also present at the inaugural ceremony.

Science fair by Vignana Bharati, Hyderabad

Hyderabad unit of Vijnana Bharati organised a science camp at Saraswati Sishu Mandir, Badangapet for children studying from 6th to 12th standard from May 16 to 18. The camp was inaugurated by Shri Syam Prasad, coordinator, Vijnana Bharati, Andhra Pradesh describing the essence of scientific temper within India throughout ages created totally different outlook near to the people and provided solutions to day to day problems. He stressed on the importance of developing scientific solutions to medical health care and looking at job creation. The students had the opportunity to experiment with more than 50 experiments on physical sciences. Focus was on learning by doing. The topics covered were sound, optics, magnetism, electronics and Thermodynamics. Many scientists working with DRDO, NGRI, IICT, Infosys also participated as resource persons.

Thousands thank ABGP Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu unit of Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat prevented a catastrophe. It had represented on July 16, 2012 to the railway authorities to drop PAN card number from the list of identity proofs required for Tatkal reservations in Indian Railways. The numbers used to be displayed on the chart pasted on the railway coaches, which was picked up by unscrupulous elements and used for benami financial transactions. Thus, for no fault of theirs, thousands of persons ran the risk of being victimised by the Income Tax Department. Last week, the railways removed the PAN card number from the list of the identities required for Tatkal service.

VHP tribute to Buddhist saint Tsona Gontse Rinpoche

VHP patron Shri Ashok Singhal on May 17 paid tribute to Buddhist saint Tsona Gontse Rinpoche. In a statement he said he was the incarnation of 13th Rinpoche. He said the leading Buddhist saint was associated with the VHP for the last 25 years and had attended the VHP conventions in Udupi, Prayag and New York along with Pujya Dalai Lama. He also contributed in the sewa and cultural activities of the VHP. He also represented India at different international Buddhist conferences.

Executive meeting of Vanvasi Vikas Parishad

The executive committee meeting of Vanvasi Vikas Parishad was organised in Jabalpur on May 18. A total of 27 members participated in the meeting, which was inaugurated by Kalyan Ashram vice president Shri Kripa Prasad Singh. Shri Vijay Mohanty, organising secretary of the Parishad introduced the leaders. Shri Vasant Chelani read out the proceedings of the last meeting. Shri Kishori lal Yadav reported all the programmes held in the recent past. Apart from an eye check up camp, a Janjati Sammelan was also held in Narsinghpur district on the birth centenary of Balasaheb Deshpande. It was decided to felicitate Shri Om Prakash Aggi, Dr Prasanna Sapre and Shri Gopal Rao Yewatikar on May 30 at State office of Vanvasi Vikas Pariahad. Rani Durgawati and Rani Gaidinlue Balidan Divas will be celebrated in Jabalpur. A marathon will also be organised on June 24. Birsa Munda Balidan Divas will be observed on June 6 in different districts of Mahakaushal Prant. Full time workers Abhyas Varga will be organised from May 31 to June 3 in Satna. Shri Kripa Prasad Singh concluded the meeting.

OTC concludes in Arunachal Pradesh

RSS training camp of Arunachal Pradesh concluded at Abotani Vidya Niketan, Pachin Colony, Naharlagun on May 12. Speaking at the concluding ceremony as chief guest Shri Ligu Tacho, Chairman, Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, lauded the efforts of the RSS in smoothening the uninterrupted flow of the Indian culture and traditions forward. He reiterated that he is committed to the preservation and promotion of the indigenous faith and culture of his State in the larger interest of the protection and promotion of the Bharatiya culture.

Shri Ullas Kulkarni, Kshetra Pracharak said RSS should be known by understanding what it does, not by hearing what the others casually say about it. He added the RSS has been generally seen, reported and even debated as a group of people working with certain fundamentalist principles and objectives. He categorically stated that since its inception, the RSS has been continuously working for instilling positive patriotism among the people, especially the youth to inspire and prepare them to selflessly work for the country.

Shri Nabum Ruja, Varg Karyavah, presented a brief report of the camp. Shri Raj Kishore Shah, DIG (ITBP, Kimin), Dr Hui Tag, Assistant Professor (RGU), Shri Tai Tagak (State President, BJP), Smt (Dr) Joram Anya (Asst Professor and State President, ABVP) were also present.
