After Sanjay Jha becoming the CEO of GLOBALFOUNDRIES in January 2014 and Satya Nadela following him in March by taking over as CEO of computer giant, Microsoft, Rajiv Suri is the new entrant in the Global CEO leagues, having Indian roots. Finnish company Nokia has named Rajeev Suri, earlier head of its networks division as its new CEO. Known to be a ‘turnaround specialist’ in the Global Tech market with his performance as the CEO of network equipment division, Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN) in October 2009, Suri is entrusted with the gigantic task showing better results in the coming days to a declining influence of NOKIA in the highly competitive cell phone market.

Though Suri is raised in Kuwait for a major part of his life, he has a strong Indian connections with his studied in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology. He is one of those rare top corporate executives who have achieved heights without pursuing any MBA/PG degree.
