Leader vs Politician

A leader is a politician who puts himself at nation’s service. A politician is a leader who puts nation at his service. Before independence, India had leaders—most politicians spent half of their life in jail. After independence we have politicians galore—most leaders lead a life with style that would put richest businessmen to shame. It is for voters to punish politicians and reward leaders.

India is a nation with potential, we are always told about. And that need not be entirely patronising statement. After all India has the third largest scientific and technological work force. India has fertile lands, mines, long coast line, hydroelectric resources, what else do you need to be rich—human resources and natural resources. And India can’t be found to be scanty in one either.

Yet, and that is a big yet. India is well…India. There is malnutrition. More than 500 million houses lack toilets. There is violence against women. There is plenty of corruption. The nation is bullied by every tiny nation, let alone China and ilk. India does not win many Olympic games, not sufficient Nobel prizes and almost no Oscars. The roads are full of pot holes. The per capita income is low and so is the Human Development Index. There are millions of cases pending in courts. All in all, India is short of being banana republic. Well to put it sarcastically, India is something of a banana republic aiming to be super power.

But this is not a bash India article. If India has good human resources and good natural resources, the blame must squarely fall on governance. These are the only three parameters that affect national outcome—governance, human resources and natural resources. If two of these three parameters are available aplenty, unsatisfactory national outcome must be blamed on bad governance.

That should not be so much of shock. From the election spendings to the assets owned by leaders, the entire works smacks of hypocrisy. If it is an open secret that every leader spends over Rs. 5 crore for Lok Sabha elections when the election commission limit is less than Rs. 50 lakhs, can we expect the leader to be clean. If alcohol is distributed to gain votes, can you expect inebriated voters to elect better.

Consider the houses of leaders. The President, is clearly above reproach, but 360 acres for Rashtrapati Bhavan, and another 90 acres for Rashtrapati Nilayam in Hyderabad is a little above the norms of simplicity. The Prime Minister staying in 12 acre house and smaller leaders in houses over 1 acre cannot be entirely accused of simplicity.

The corruption figures are mind blogging. It is no more lakhs, no more crores or so, it usually few thousand crores and that is for small fry politicians. The people in big league would be insulted if they are seen not to make a lakh crore or so.

It seems a lost cause but not entirely. India still is a democracy, the last time checked. Voters can punish their leaders on three grounds. If a leader overspends on elections, voters must punish those leaders. If leaders leads a lavish lifestyle, voters must punish them. Finally if leaders have nothing to offer, voters must punish them. It is up to voters, if they elect leaders or politicians. All the best, India.

See through the masks of treasonable activists—Ashok Singhal

VHP patron Ashok Singhal appealed to the nation to detect and see through the masks of the subversive and treasonable activists active in the country for benefiting the foreign powers. In a statement issued from Allahabad on January 31 he questioned the rise of Arvind Kejriwal and the suspicious elements rallying behind him.

Shri Singhal said that by taking advantage of the declining popularity of Congress and deluding the people, Arvind Kejriwal has come to power in Delhi. Today, the whole country is askance which superpower stands behind Kejriwal’s coming to power? Increasingly it is becoming plain that behind Kejriwal there is the big hand of the Ford Foundation of USA and its supporter the American intelligence agency, the CIA.

He said being petrified by the growing power of Narendra Modi they had a feeling that the Congress, through which the Western countries were so easily manipulating the national policies and the Bharatiya market, is sliding to the abyss, then through the Ford Foundation they pooled all those forces that can prevent Narendra Modi from becoming the leader of Bharat. Today, various institutions, Naxalite organisations, Jihadi organisations and fast-growing foreign-funded TV channels, their directors, handlers, journalists and the activists of thousands of NGOs here receiving direct or proxy aid from the Ford Foundation, Rockfeller Foundation, Clinton Foundation, etc., have turned up the Kejriwal’s Party (AAP) is to serve the interests of America. The Anglo-American power is solely working behind its attractive slogans like ‘Corruption-free India’.

The way the government is running under the authority of Sonia Gandhi, has brought Bharat to its economic predicament, that has made their downfall sure and under these circumstances the Aam Admi Party (AAP) has been floated as their political accessory and servo in the 2014 General elections. When the AAP prides itself of fielding over 300 candidates in the coming Parliamentary elections, every Bharatiya citizen wants to know the powers standing behind them. Kejriwal has been given the Magsasay Award. The Ford Foundation gives this award to those people who can work for American interests.

A few days ago a lady from America, Simrit Lee by name came to Bharat to assess who could actually sincerely work for American interests in Bharat. This lady was sent to other countries also where the big force of Ford Foundation has been working in the form of NGOs. This lady had presented a report as to how could the power of Ford Foundation be successful against Hosni Mubarak in Egypt. The semblance and inkling of the slogan of ‘Corruption-free India’ of Kejriwal is nowhere to be found in his personal behaviour till yet. After being sworn in to the Chief Minister’s office, sitting on Dharna, transgressing the Constitution of Bharat, is a flagrant display of the anarchist Naxalite persona and arrogance in him. It is a open sedition and anti-national stand on the part of his party to say that there should be a referendum in Kashmir even if it is for disintegration of the country, the Army should be withdrawn from Kashmir in spite of the fact that full-fledged terrorist camps are running across in the Pak-occupied Kashmir and there is perennial efforts at infiltration of terrorists from Pakistan, and if that not enough they are even demanding such action in the Maoist-infested areas and withdrawal of the paramilitary forces. The people of Bharat have detected it and seen through the masks of these subversive and treasonable activists.
