Christian priest inaugurates RSS training camp in Kochi
Kerala gave a strong message to pseudo-secularists and hippocrate religious leaders when a Christian priest joined the RSS Prathamik Siksha Varg (preliminary training camp) at the Christian Seminary School in Kochi.
The incident took place under Idukky district, the very crucial region of Christian demography and also the area of conversion. The training camp was conducted at the Ramakkal-medu Sacred Heart School. It was inaugurated by a leading eco-research personality Shri Suresh Kumar.
In his speech Father Mathew Narippara said some people publically have very charming personality but personally they are very self-centred. This dual personality is causing huge damage to the society. RSS camps in Kerala began on December 22.

Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Baithak of RSS was organised in Thiruvananthapuram from December 28 to 30. Sahsarkaryavah Shri KC Kannan, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Dr Manmohan Vaidya and Sah Prachar Pramukh Shri J Nandakumar guided the workers. Dr Vaidya lighted the nilavilakku (the traditional lamp) just after the mangal dhwani of Edaykka (the playing of ritual instrument in front of the deity) and formally started the conference. The representatives of media from all states, editors of RSS publications and also in charges and coordinators of Vishwa Samvad Kendra participated in the meeting.
Shri J Nandakumar described the glorious history of Travancore Kingdom under Raja Marthanda Varma , who was the one and only King of India who bravely fought and defeated the Dutch Naval force in 1741 at Kulachal War and also detained all war ships of enemy and more surprisingly used the naval commanders De Leonie and De Noetie as the chiefs of his naval force. Till death they served India with great loyalty, integrity and dedication.

VHP’s Central Board of Trustee and Governing Council Meeting
VHP to start activities at 2.5 lakh new places
Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Central Board of Trustees and Governing Council Meeting, held in Surat, decided to start at least 2.5 lakh new projects across the country. Apart from the regular organisational activities, some sewa projects dedicated to education, health and employment will also be started.
The meeting was inaugurated by noted Kathavachak Shri Rameshbhai Ojha on December 31. Shri Nautam Swami of Shri Badtar Swami Narayan Mandir and the VHP president Dr Pravin Togadia were also present on the occasion. More than 250 representatives from India and abroad including Bangladesh, Malaysia, Fiji, Australia and the US participated in the meeting.
Explaining the importance of dharma, Shri Ramesh Bhai Ojha said observation of dharma is must in every sphere of life and without dharma any human being is like an animal. “Therefore dharma is must everywhere including the politics,” he said calling upon the Hindus to be awakened, organised and powerful. Appreciating the VHP work, especially the Hindu Helpline and also the cow based products, he said nobody should be deprived in the country.
Dr Pravin Togadia expressed concern over the growing insecurity feeling among Hindus not only in Bangladesh, Pakistan and many other countries of the world, but also at many places within the country like J&K, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, etc.
He said the VHP is going to complete 50 years on Sri Krishna Janmasthami in 2014. He called upon the VHP workers to organise the activities, which generate self-confidence among the Hindus all over the country. He also appealed to the people to defeat the anti-Hindu politics. other leaders also attended the meeting.

Prahar Mahayajna at Sangh Shakhas
RSS Swayamsevaks across the country conducted prahars at the shakhas. Lakhs of swayamsevaks joined the Mahayajna. The event was organised all over the country on December 16. A 86 year old Zilla Sanghachalak of Kashipur in Uttarakhand performed 1,100 prahars. Last year he had conducted 1,000 prahars. Similarly, a 12th standard swayamsevak in Bhiwani (Haryana) conducted 31,031 prahars in 12 hours 30 minutes. Shri Sadananda of Kerala, who does not have feet, conducted 49 prahars. Both of his feet were cut by the Marxists some time back.
Sardarmal Kankaria to be honoured with Vivekananda Sewa Samman
Shri Sardarmal Kankaria of Kolkata will be honoured with 28th Vivekananda Sewa Samman on January 12, 2014. Instituted by Shree Burrabazar Kumarsabha Pustakalaya, the Puraskar will be presented by noted literary person Dr Krishna Bihari Mishra. Born on January 28, 1929 at Gogolav village under Nagour district of Rajasthan Shri Kankaria is a successful businessman of Kolkata and is fully dedicated to the educational and health activities in the region. He has not only set up many educational institutions, but also started a fully equipped hospital. He also conducted many health camps, which benefited thousands of people.
Advocate KA Ashokan to be honoured with Ananthakeerthi Puraskaram
Kerala’s prestigious award for socially committed lawyers known as Ananthakeerthi Puraskaram will be given to Advocate KA Ashokan for his work among Vanvasis of Northern Kerala. He focused on health issues specially a serious illness called Cycle Sell Anemia. He also helped in the organisation of Tribal Olympics in Kerala. The award will be given on January 9 at Kochi International Book festival 2014 by Justice Thotthathil B Radhakrishan. Advocate Ananthan was also the RSS Prant Sanghachalak and Prant Karyavah of RSS for two decades.
Grand Finale of Ekal Abhiyan’s Silver Jubilee celebrations in Kolkata
Whole of the last year (2013) there were events, workshops and many programmes throughout the world to mark the Silver Jubilee of Ekal Abhiyan. The concluding ceremony of the Celebrations will be held in Kolkata on January 5. Three processions will begin from the ancestral residence of Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and from Ramlila grounds at 11.30 am. In each procession there will be some tableau. The main programme will start at 1.30 pm. The prominent dignitaries who are expected to attend the concluding ceremony are Swami Subirananda of Ramakrishna Mission and Math, Shri Pravrajika Amalaprana from Sri Sarada Math and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission, Dr Pranav Pandya from Gayatri Parivar, Shri Brahmachari Mural Bhai from Ramakrishna Addya Peetham, Swami Dibyananda from Bharat Sevashram Sangha, former director of BARC Dr Anil Kakodkar, Sprint Queen PT Usha, Bengali writer Shri Sanjib Chattopadhyay and Commissioner of Police Shri Surajit Kar Purakayastha.
Training camp for IT Milan workers in Hyderabad
A Prathamik Shiksha Varga for IT Milan workers was held for the first time in Hyderabad from December 21 to 28, 2013 at Sri Sarada Dhamam. A total of 50 shiksharthis underwent training at the camp in which 21 professionals from Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and West Bengal participated. Along with them, 29 final year engineering and post graduate students also participated. The workers were imparted training on various physical and intellectual aspects to build a nationalist fervour among them. The siksharthis also got the opportunity to perform shramadan, join Gou sewa and have Matri Hasta Bhojan. The prominent Sangh adhikaris who guided the workers included Akhil Bharatiya Bauddhik Pramukh Shri Bhagaiyaji, Vishwa Vibhag convener Shri Ravi Kumar Iyer, Dakshin Madhya Kshetra Bauddhik Pramukh Shri V Nagaraj, Paschim Andhra Prant Pracharak Shri Shyam Kumar and others. Swayamsevaks from about 12 IT Milans and 19 shakhas participated in the Varga.
