Expert opinions will feature in the Republic Day Special Issue
As a one month precursor to the Republic Day celebrations, the two oldest nationalist weeklies of India, Organiser and Panchjanya took an unique initiative by calling experts on national security and engaging them in a dialogue on ‘Internal Security Concerns’. Critical issues of J & K, North-East, Maoism, Terrorism, Small Arms and Drug Trafficking and Economic Offences were deliberated in the dialogue. With introductory remarks on each topic by an expert, there was a brainstorming discussion on each issue.Senior Government officials, armed forces personnel and experts from think tank participated in the discussion. The report of the dialogue and subsequent contributions by experts will feature in the Republic Day Special Issue of the Organiser to be published on January 19, 2014.
