RSS swayamsevaks under Nisurkha village of Bulandshahar district in Uttar Pradesh have started a unique tradition of celebrating birthday. They encourage villagers to plant at least two saplings at this public place to celebrate birthday of their family members. This has become a movement here now. The Sangh work in this village began in 2005. As a result of different shakha activities, there is not a single child of the village who is illiterate. The village has the kind of prosperity that everything needed in daily life is available here only. Apart from the daily shakha, all the Sangh festivals are celebrated and the participation of the villagers in all the activities has been encouraging. All developmental activities are carried out under the banner of Rashtravanshi Gram Vikas Samiti. The Samiti was founded by Prant Gram Vikas Pramukh Shri Pawan Kumar Hanuman.
Many senior Sangh adhikaris including Akhil Bharatiya Gram Vikas Pramukh Dr Dinesh have visited the village. A Gram Vikas training camp was also organised here a few years back. The Samiti also imparts training of cutting-tailoring, mehandi, painting and beautician to women. The experiment of organic farming has also proved to be a big hit in the village. Former RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri KS Sudarshan had visited the village to encourage the villagers for organic farming. The Samiti has also conducted campaigns against addiction and for cleanliness.
