Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Andhra Pradesh is all set to start their campaign for the 2014 polls with comfortable placements in Andhra Pradesh and in Telangana region especially.

The BJP has realised that there is a lot of potential for the party to grow independently in the Telangana region. For the past four years they are working hard to gain strength in this region.

The Congress party is wavering, unable to take a decision on Telangana demand, Telugu Desam Party and the YSR Congress party have decided to take a neutral stand that helped the BJP to win the hearts of the locals.

The party has a clear policy and decided to declare separate Telangana, when they come to power, and is working out to attract the youth and other parties’ cadre to join them. Already large number of youth from various sectors (students, teachers, technocrats… etc.) have joined the party.

The leaders and cadre of other parties are joining BJP because of their belief that it would only give Telangana.

Nagam Janardhan Reddy, former minister who was considered as No.2 in Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has joined the party in the presence of BJP National Chief, Rajnath Singhji on June 3, which is an added advantage for the party in Telangana region.

N Janardhan Reddy is a powerful leader of masses from Mahaboobnagar district. He has good control over six constituencies in the district. Well known for straight forwardness, Nagam organised number of programmes on Telangana issue after quitting from Telugu Desam Party (TDP), for more than 30 years after serving it.

He has also had good following in the other districts of Telangana region. It is known that he is having talks with his close associates of Telugu Desam Party leaders to invite them into BJP.

Apart from all these, Nagam Janardhan Reddy can counter the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), the main opposition for BJP in the region while State President, G Kishan Reddy can look after the over all state affairs.

Most coastal Andhrites won’t object to separate Telangana if Hyderabad issue is resolved to the benefit of both regions. Any unilateral surrender to TRS by BJP will be at the cost of its prospective growth in Coastal Andhra. Even if some Coastal Andhrites protest initially, after separation they may realise the advantages that accrue with separation.

The main opposition party raised Telangana issue number of times in the Parliament and opposition leader in Lok Sabha, Sushma  Swaraj spoke in the house several times on the same issue.

BJP, which has given three separate states, had confirmed their support to Telangana on many occasions welcomed by the people of the region and several activists groups have a lot of expectations and hope on the Party. Nithin Gadkari,  Sushma Swaraj asserted that BJP will form the T state within 100 days if the party comes to power.
