Prof P Murali Manohar from Hydarabad has been elected new national president of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad for the year 2013. Shri Umesh Datt was reelected general secretary. The election of both the leaders was announced by election officer Prof M Jaykumar in Mumbai on December 15. They will take charge at the 58th National Conference to be organised in Patna from December 26. Prof P Murali Manohar works as a lecturer in Government Degree College in Mahboobnagar, Andhra Pradesh. He is an ABVP activist since 1979. He is also known for deep study on social harmony. Andhra Pradesh State government has given him the Best Teacher’s Award in 2007. He held various responsibilities of ABVP. From 2002 to 2008 he was a national vice president.
